They chose to do a first look on the front porch of The Historic Athenaeum Hotel in Chautauqua, New York. It’s a BIG Victorian treasure (built in 1881) that sits grandly on a tree-shaded hill overlooking picturesque Chautauqua Lake on the grounds of the world-renowned Chautauqua Institution in the southwestern corner of New York State. It’s also now listed on the National Historic Register and it has SUCH CHARM!!! It was also a PERFECT back up plan for protection from the severe thunderstorms they were warning the locals about. Luckily for us, the clouds began to separate and the sun peeked thru just in time for portraits, but at the very least the porch was perfect for their first look!
Kristy peeking around the corner….
Ohh hey their gorgeous….
I LOOOOVE first looks!!!
Two different perspectives. One from me on the left, the other from Greg!
Kristy weeeerrrked her Vera Wang dress! Get it gurrrl!
Because we did a first look prior to their ceremony, this gave us amble time to do some romantic, fun bride and groom shots before the bridal party showed up!
One of Scott’s requests was to have a photo taken down at the docks…I was more than happy to oblige!!
So much gorgeousness for me to shoot around!
The Bridal party arrived…..let’s get this party STARTED!
