“We had looked for rings in June and I had picked out a couple that I loved. So, everytime we went on a trip or went out to a nice dinner, I was expecting to get the ring. Well, after about five months of this, I kind of gave up thinking about it.
It was Christmas Day and we had eaten breakfast and opened all the gifts. I was in the kitchen cleaning up (wearing George’s robe with my hair up all crazy), and he was in the living room. He told me to come in for a second. When I did he was looking out the front window. I figured he was looking at these poinsettias that I insisted on buying which he said wouldn’t last in the cold. They didn’t last in the cold and I am thinking he’s going to point out to me how they froze. Instead, he said “There’s one more gift for you,” and pulled out a box. It was too small for a necklace, or a bracelet, or earrings…I saw the ring and started crying and laughing and hugging him. I was still holding the box with the ring in it and he thought it was going to go flying across the room. We got on Skype and told his family in Arizona as they were opening their presents.” -Ellie

“I said it first! I said it in the car after we came home from being out one night. I knew I was in love with him for months but was scared to say it. It just kind of came out. George said I looked like I was going to give him some bad news and that I said it and then practically ducked! I was scared he wouldn’t say it back but he said it like he had already told me 100 times. :)” – Ellie

I love the reaction shot to “I now pronounce you husband and wife”. It.was.awesome!!!!!

I love this image also….although you can’t see her entirely, the woman in the bottom left corner is holding up the “thumbs up” sign. I didn’t notice it until I was culling thru the images! …..LOOVE IT!

…just a few portraits around the grounds of the mansion.
