The honest answer? Wear something that feels like YOU.

I always tell people not to overthink this into a full-blown identity crisis. 😂 Neutral tones, textures, layers, and outfits that coordinate (not perfectly match) tend to photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection rather than distracting clothing choices.

Most importantly, wear something you feel comfortable and confident in. If you’re constantly adjusting, pulling, tugging, or uncomfortable, it shows in the photos.

And yes , I’m always happy to help with outfit guidance beforehand.

Then congratulations… your children are normal. 😂

I promise you are not the first parent to apologize to me before a session and you definitely won’t be the last.

Some of the most meaningful images actually happen in the in-between moments:
the chaos,
the cuddles,
the snack breaks,
the silly personalities,
the real-life moments.

I approach sessions with a lot of patience and flexibility because kids are tiny humans, not robots. The goal isn’t perfectly posed perfection. The goal is preserving this season of life honestly and beautifully.

And honestly? Being photogenic has very little to do with “looking perfect” and everything to do with feeling comfortable.

I’ll guide you throughout the session using movement, prompts, conversation, and natural interaction so you’re not just standing there wondering what to do with your hands for an hour. 😂

You do not need modeling experience.

Real life becomes history much faster than we realize.

In-home sessions tend to feel relaxed, emotional, personal, and incredibly nostalgic over time.

Some of the most treasured photographs become the ones people almost didn’t take.

I cannot tell you how many times families later say:

“I’m so glad we included them.”

• move indoors
• or embrace the moodier weather

Some of the most beautiful sessions happen on cloudy, foggy, snowy, or lightly rainy days because the light becomes soft and emotional.

For fall sessions especially, earlier is always better.

My calendar tends to book the fastest during:

• fall foliage season
• senior season
• holiday card season

That said, it never hurts to ask because occasionally I have last-minute openings or weekday flexibility.

Yes … every final image is professionally edited for color, lighting, and overall consistency while still keeping people looking like themselves.

My editing style leans timeless and natural rather than overly filtered or heavily altered. I want your photographs to still feel beautiful and authentic years from now instead of tied to editing trends that quickly go out of style.
