I had a video I wanted to post of Greg trying to drive on the “wrong side of the road” for the very first time, but due to the language expressed in the video, I thought it may NOT be inappropriate to share..hahahahaha!!! Let’s just say this….it.was.hilarious!! And that was an understatement. Words can’t describe how funny it was to watch….but I didn’t laugh too long, SOON it would be *MY* turn!

We picked the car up early on Day 2 in an effort to check out the Guinness Factory ( a MUST-DO according to all of YOU) and it didn’t disappoint. We drove around a bright red van…we named her “Red Thunder”….and she got us to where we were going…and then some…..meaning she got us lost a few times!! haha! BUT every time we got lost, we found ourselves exploring an abandoned castle or chatting with the locals. You’all were right…getting lost was all part of the fun! I will mention that we also left the GPS at home, we relied soley on the maps and directions from the locals. THAT in it’s self was quite memorable. I don’t think I would have done it any other way. (I’ll show you in a later post just how much we traveled..but that’s a whole OTHER story).
Needless to say, we spent several hours inside of the factory. Greg and Jereme (yes that’s spelled with an “e”) were in heaven! They both got to “Pour the Perfect Pint” and in the end we got to enjoy a pint in the 360 room at the top. 360 degree view of the city of Dublin….which feels very much like a big small town, if that makes any sense.
After the tour, we hopped in the “Red Thunder” and headed for Avaco, Wicklow County where we would be spending the night at the Bed and Breakfast to be closer to Day 3’s activities: Kilkenny.
Enough babbling, I’m not a journalist, I’m a photographer, I speak much better thru my images……….and YES I realize I uploaded WAY to many, but it’s my blog and I can if I want to!!! tee he he

I was walking down the street with my camera and these two cab drivers yelled “Hey!!! Take our picture!!” Without skipping a beat I turned around and told them to “WEEEERK IT!!” One of my favorite memories!! 🙂

Hey look…..we’re tourists!!! haha

Where’s Waldo?!! haha!

Can you tell which glass is Erin’s……..pshhh, lightweight!! Don’t worry, it didn’t go to waste, Jereme drank it! LOL

This was one of my favorite things in the Guinness Factory, you could leave a message on the wall. There were notes from ALL OVER THE WORLD!!

Greg and Jereme, pouring “The Perfect Pint”…..there’s a science people!

Jereme’s REALLY tall……… I swear!!! bahahaah!!

And we’re finally back on the road! Although it appears to look like Jereme was the navigator……..Erin and I got us to where we were going! Let’s just get THAT straight right now!! hahaha! (ok, more Erin)

I call this…….”a drive by shooting”. I had my camera handing out the window like a TRUE TOURIST!!

and finally we came to what hey call “the back roads” …..and so our journey REALLY begins!! It was kinda gloomy and rainy the first several days…which was a bummer…but it didn’t stop us from ANYTHING!

from far away…they looked like sheep!! I blame it on the Guinness!!! hahaha!

He was posing for us! I’m telling you…I LOVE the Irish!! 🙂

Nothing too fancy (in terms of a photo) but this is what our room looked like on the first night in our Bed and Breakfast…..cute and quaint! We were only there long enough to get a night’s rest and to eat breakfast in the morning before we were off exploring in the morning. PS: Erin and Jereme had their own room even though there are two beds in ours.

After we got settled in, we had a tea pawwww-tea! You have to say it JUST LIKE THAT!! 🙂

And finally some dinner!! Leg of lamb and parsnips with potatoes…a REAL Irish meal…not salad on bread!! haha!!
Cheers!!!

From the first picture where the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the vehicle (How difficult was that? Getting used to driving on the ” wrong” side of the road? lol ) to the last picture of that delicious dinner plate…wow! Your pictures speak volumes about your trip!! Fantastic!! More ~ more ~ more!!!
