I love me some couples with an awesome sense of humor! I laughed the E.N.T.I.R.E. time.

First, I want to say a big THANK YOU  to the nicest ladies out at Reeger’s Farm in Indiana, Pa for allowing us to use the surroundings for our shoot today. Just for fun, I went back into my old blog and dugout the photos I had taken 2 years ago when we took Mallory to the festival they have every year (I hang my head in shame at how awful the images are but ….give me a break-that was two years ago) LOL

While I was waiting for Chrystie and Dave to arrive, I did a bit of shopping. I got myself an apple dumpling, pumpkin gobs, hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies….and I don’t EVEN care if it goes right to my hips. THEY were fabulous!! I also purchased something else I wanted to share with everyone. I learned of an organization named “Mi Esperanza” which means My Hope. According to the flier, they bring hope to women young and old by providing educational and financial tools that enable women to change their lies and future of their children. Because educated women raise educated children and through education we are changing the cycle of poverty for women and their children. At the Mi Esperanza training center they bring the opportunity of education to women who may otherwise remain unskilled and unable to provide for their families. They offer 3 areas of training which provide women with the skill to obtain employment or begin a small grassroots business of their own. One of those trainings is sewing. Because I’m an entrepreneur who also comes from the poverty end of the spectrum I felt very strong about this organization. I “purchased with a purpose” today and bought the cutest bag which was hand painted by a women named “Reina”. My purchase helped to support the women of Mi Esperanza in the ongoing development of the program……and I got a cute bag. Do you want one? Visit Reegers and check out the other bags they have. Big, little, colorful…all of them are beautiful and handmade, one-of-a-kind. So thank you, not only for the baked goods (and the extra pounds LOL) but also for my beautiful new bag. 🙂

I wasn’t actually sure if we’d even have our shoot. Todays weather was so unpredictable and although it was a bit on the colder side we chose to go ahead with it. The ground was on the wet side so it did limit what we could do just a bit but Chrystie and Dave had the best sense of humor that all the crappy weather didn’t matter one bit. I mean we were in good shape: Dave’s hair grew back (inside joke), the goats were frisky-well so was Dave…..and there was wine. Yes, there was wine. They brought along a picnic set up and we sat there as the sun was setting beyond the colors of the trees playing scrabble and sipping wine. Have I mentioned how much I love my job?! LOL

Because I have NO words to describe what happened today, I’m just going to start posting all the randomness.  Bow Chica Wow Wow!!
