I’m blogging this a bit early, I know…but Thanksgiving is fast approaching-4 more days actually. Every year on the weekend after Thanksgiving we usually go pick out our Christmas tree. This year, we might have to wait an additional weekend, as life has it, we are busy busy busy. BUT in honor of our tradition, I thought I’d post some photos of our “tree hunt” from last year. I’m fortunate to have a “cousin-in law” who is also a photographer. She tagged along with us last year to document our quite hilarious adventure. NEVER a dull moment, I tell ya. Being photographers, we don’t get to be on the other side of the camera all that often. In fact, most of the photos I have of family activities we do, don’t have me “IN” them. Mom’s I know you can relate. So this is one instance where “I” got to participate…and as everyone tells me, I will treasure these forever.
Personally, there is nothing more fun about going to purchase a pre-cute Christmas Tree. I love walking around the tree farms, the smell of the pine trees and the excitement of the kids when they think they found a good one, and then the laughter when they walk around the “other side” and find out it was a dud. It’s the experience that I love. We ventured out with my parents, little brother and sister and then of course Greg, myself and Mallory. Good times! I think we picked a winner!!
Jen Palmer with Aisling Photography. She is located in Savannah, Georgia but she comes “HOME” to western PA often. If you like her style, go give her some love 🙂
I will be taking my camera with me this year on our annual tree hunt, but I wanted to share a few images that Jen took for us last year. 🙂
