If you recognize her, it’s because she’s been on the blog before. Remember back to the Prom Paprazzi Contest I held, out of all the entries, she was one of the finalists!!!
Do you remember her entry? How amazing is this girl?
My name is Eden McConnel, I go to Blairsville High School. I believe I am a good role model and I have five younger sisters who all look up to me. I participate in a program through school called Outdoor Odyssey. Basically, Outdoor Odyssey is about helping a young one in need, kind of like a mentoring program. Say, the child is struggling in school, you’ll study with them and try to help the child do better in school. The child could even be going through divorce, and just need someone to be there for them. Often, the child could just need someone to look up too. My child, or munchkinette, as we call them at Outdoor Oddyssey, is from United. She and I have gotten so close through this school year. After spending 4 days with Kelly, she drew me a picture (shes really talented at drawing) saying that I was one of the best mentors she has ever had. She also mentioned that she will always look up to me. It touched my heart to know that a little girl can look up to someone so much. I don’t think many people see how much someone younger then you really does see what you do and how you act. Hopefully one day, she can inspire other munkinettes one day, as well as other kids like I do her, and hopefully my sisters too. 🙂
Eden, you are beautiful inside and out. I could tell by the time we spent together yesterday that you are one awesome role model. Never loose that……. and you work those cowboy boots GURRRRL!!! 🙂 You inspire me!
