A few days ago, I decided to hold a fun little give away called the “Caption Contest” for a chance to win $25 gift card to Overstock.com. I asked anyone interested in winning to upload a photo of their choice with a caption that had to mention my name: jen mcken and I’d pick a winner on Friday based on who could be the most creative (with bonus points for making me laugh) . They had FREE creative reigns to come up with ANYTHING they wanted with ANY caption they wanted…just as long as my name was mentioned.
I’ll be honest, I had NO IDEA what I’d end up with! I figured-it’s just for fun so let’s see how creative everyone can get! I smiled and I giggled as they were posted to my wall. Some of you are so creative and I love the little sayings! I actually laughed out loud on one of them! The funny thing is that I got a phone call about 5 minutes later from Greg laughing and asking if I saw the “one just posed on your wall”. Together we giggled because we could just imagine in our heads.
This contest is just a glimpse of what is to come within the next few months. I’ll be holding a much larger contest with a much LARGER prize….so get those ideas going! I wanted to do something fun but since EVERY ONE and their MOTHER is doing the “photo contest” I wanted to be different! So I thought this would be fun! I’m blown away by how cute all the submissions are! (how long do you think it will be before everyone is doing this?!) ha ha!

So why did I chose this one? Well #1, it made me laugh out loud…and Greg called me while he was at work and happened to see it and HE too laughed! #2 I can just imagine the conversation going on-very similar to those E-Trade commercials..haha! #3 I love that they were having a conversation with word bubbles AND I could tell that it was a pre-meditated photo. The “We’re calling Jen McKen” in the background looks like it was ACTUALLY wrote on the board before the photo was taken! LOVE IT! #4 they’re having a tea party, I mean, who doesn’t love a good old fashion tea party?! #5 She has a ring on her finger…hahah! #6 And the kicker…..even though you can’t see the little boy in the background the best..he’s on the phone, calling Jen McKen…HAHHAHAA!!
