Let me start off by saying……this couple was SOO easy to work with! She’s so bubbly and cheerful and he is so laid back, all the decorations were soooooo insanely adorable…..AND her dress was A-MAZING!!!!
When she contacted me many months ago she mentioned that it would be a small, intimate wedding with close friends and family and that part of it would be taking place at Joe’s childhood home. When I arrived and saw how adorable everything was….I knew this would be one of my favorite shoots. They also chose to do a “first look” which made me love them even more, but the fact that we were able to photograph them in such a meaningful place, was fantastic!
Here is Joe waiting at the bottom of the stairs to see his bride for the first time.
A little bit about the proposal…..It was a warm and sunny October day. They had planned on going out for dinner and a movie but when Joe arrived to pick her up (in a button down shirt), and she was thinking… what’s going on here? They only made it half way down the lane when he stopped the truck when he reached over and turned on “the love mix CD”. He got out and walked around to her door and pulled out the ring. According to Alaina, “He didn’t technically ask me to marry him, because before he could ask I blurted out, “I will marry you!”
I love how quaint and cute everything was. The wallpaper in each room was perfect and made everything feel “vintage”.
The ballons filled the ceiling in the dining room, where guests would be dancing later in the evening. ….oh and the cute little chandelier! Perfect!
Isn’t she stunning!? I’m slightly obsessed with her dress and earrings….but wait till you see the shoes!
