“We are big nerds, but we totally own it! When we are together, we don’t notice our nerdy-ness but when we are out with friends we have to dial it down a lot or they look at us like we are speaking a different language!”- Jessica

Can you tell us a little bit about “The Proposal”?
“We actually have two proposals. Hahaha!
1. We just found out where we matched for residency, (he’s in st Luke’s, Bethlehem, I’m in the Chestnut hill/Roxborough area in the burbs of Phillly) I was very stressed out because our hospitals are 1 hour apart and I didn’t know how we would ever see each other, given how crazy being an intern can be. I was looking for apartments and talking to myself and saying things like, “how is this going to work, we’ll never see each other,” then I looked up and he was standing there holding out my great-great aunt’s engagement ring (I had fallen in love with it as a little girl and told him my grandma had promised it was mine if I wanted it when I got engaged-I couldn’t believe he remembered it!) He then explained that he had saved money to buy a ring but had to put all of the savings into repairing his car, so around Christmas time he had been a total ninja and asked my parents if he could marry me and they all three conspired to get the ring from my gram without my knowledge. But then he said he talked to his parents about it and he felt like he wanted to wait and get me my very own ring because my great great aunts ring was very old and needed some work…so we were unofficially engaged 🙂
……and

2. About 10 months later we were all moved into our new apartment in Lansdale, PA. I came into the living room and he was kneeling in front of the christmas tree with a brand new, beautiful ring that he picked out all by himself! <3
(I said yes both times!) ” – Jessica

“We were ALWAYS at one coffee shop or another, studying like crazy. We are both self proclaimed coffee and beer snobs. Jayme likes to try his luck with microbrewing and we both like going and sampling microbrews. We have been to Wyoming twice so we have a shared obsession over that state as well as over Iowa. So much so that we took a spur of the moment weekend trip to Des Moines just about 2 months ago, we really don’t like the east coast attitudes here in Philly and our dream is to move back to Iowa or move to Wyoming. ” -Jessica

The awesome-tastic bridal party, who was so cooperative and listened to everything I asked!! <3

I love the lens flair in this image! Happy little accidents as Bob Ross would say!
