I always love a good online romance! Greg and I met online almost 13 years ago in Yahoo chat room….and these guys….well they met back in the days of MySpace! <3 "We actually met on Myspace. One late night, Demeron was looking on a friend's profile and came across my profile, and he thought I was "hot" so he friend requested me. Due to certain circumstances, I had decided I didn't want a boyfriend at the time, so I ignored his friend request. A few weeks later I was on Myspace and thought what the heck, I will humor myself and see what this guy is like, so I accepted his friend requested. However, I surprised to read his first message to me asking who I was and why and how we were friends on facebook. Irritated by his message, I told him that he had friend requested me and if he didn't want to be friends to delete me. He sent back that my profile sounded interesting and that we had a lot in common and wanted to get to know me more. We messaged and emailed each other for over a month until we finally decided to meet on December 26 for our first lunch date." - Megan
The Proposal:
“I was starting to think that Demeron might never propose since we were going on 4 years and I had tried to talk to him about marriage on several occasions and he just kind of avoided the topic. LOL! So I was shocked to learn that he was actually going to propose a few other times earlier this year. The first time was going to be in Florida on our Disney trip, but the ring was not ready in time. SO then he was going to do it in Mexico but he was afraid to put the ring in the suit case for fear the luggage would get lost. Then we planned a trip to Lancaster to go on a hot air balloon ride, so he told some of his buddies that he was going to do it on the hot air balloon ride; however, due to the rain we cancelled our trip. We thought about planning a trip to a hot air balloon festival in Napa Valley but a friend of ours had already thought up an idea for us. So now for plan #4. LOL! Friends of ours were going to Niagara Falls so we decided to crash their plans and join. We got to Niagara falls around 10pm and Demeron decided he wanted to go for a walk down Clifton Hill to the falls. We were standing across from the American Falls admiring them and as i went to walk away he grabbed my arm and turned me around and got down on one knee. I thought I was going to pass from the shock. LOL. I was so shocked I actually didn’t even say yes at first and he actually said to me, “Sooo is that a yes” LOL! I have been told by everyone that the smile still has not left my face! “- Megan
