A Little Dirt, A Lot of Heart: Clay’s Senior Session in Dayton, PA
Clay’s senior photos took place on the farm just outside of Dayton, PA. And let me tell you, the property was chef’s kiss for portraits: weathered barn wood, golden fields, a pond, and the absolute star of the show, a cow named Rose with major main character energy. 🐄✨
Session Highlights:
-
Hanging with cows (including sweet, friendly Rose, who may or may not have stolen the spotlight)
-
Exploring the tractor path and woods
-
That golden hour glow that made the whole session feel like a country music video
You know you’re in for a good time when the senior session inquiry includes cows, barns, tractors, and a mom who keeps it real from the jump. That’s how I met Clay, a Lenape Tech student, 4H kid, military camp alum, and your all-around good-natured, rock-music-loving country guy.
From Cowboy Boots to Hoodies: Three Outfits, All Clay
We kicked things off with Clay in his sharpest “good outfit”—a tucked-in Ariat button-up, jeans, and boots. No hat needed. Just good posture and those ‘I was raised right’ country boy vibes.
Next up: flannel and a hat, because it wouldn’t be a true farm session without one. Between the barn and the pasture, we captured Clay doing what he does best….being at ease in wide open spaces, surrounded by livestock and the land.
And for the third look, Clay rocked a hoodie and jeans, because every senior needs that casual shot that says, “This is who I am when I’m just hangin’ out.”

Why These Kinds of Sessions Matter
Sessions like this one remind me why I do what I do. They’re not just about getting “good pictures”, they’re about telling a story. About honoring a kid’s roots, capturing their personality, and showing them off in a way that’s real and timeless. Especially for the ones who’d rather be behind a farm fence than in front of a camera.
And yeah, Clay may have started off as your typical “I’m only doing this for Mom” guy…but by the time we wrapped, I’m pretty sure he was vibing with Rose and giving “professional model on the farm” energy.
Thinking About Senior Photos?
If you’ve got a senior who’s more boots than books, more field than football field, or just someone who deserves a session that actually feels like them, I got you. Whether it’s cows, classic cars, creeks, or cornfields, I’ll meet you where you are (literally and creatively).
Let’s create something that feels like home. Reach out!
