For all of you whom have emailed, called or verbally have ever told me you wanted to be my assistant or asked if I was hiring…..here is the reason I have not recently hired anyone: You have been beaten out of a position by a 7 year old! I keed I keed! But on a serious note, if she could work spreadsheets, edit and design albums…heck, I’d hire her for chicken nuggets! LOL
Recently, I had set up some mini shoots for holiday sessions. I typically shoot all by my lonely self, but on this day, I proclaimed it, “take your daughter to work day” and had her tag along with Greg and I. In between running to get me coffee and lunch the two of them helped out with the shoots. Mallory held the reflector and second shot…at one point, Greg and I heard her say ” WERK IT ” to one of the clients! When we were looking she was really getting into it. I had to be sneaky about taking the pictures of her because as soon as she caught on that we were watching she would start to act funny. I gotta tell you, I’m pretty impressed with some of the shots she managed to get. You can call it luck, you can call it talent…but I’ll just call her “her momma’s daughter”. I only wish I had found my “hobby and passion” at her age!
