Meet Lindsey + Ryen (with an e)! If you can’t tell by the images below, they were high school sweethearts!!! They began dating when they were juniors back in 2006….and to date, they’ve been together 6 years and were even voted “BEST COUPLE” by their high school class! When they were asked to describe their relationship, they said they were soulmates and even got a twin flame reading, which confirmed what they already knew. So of course when thinking of a portrait session that would “mean something” to them…they chose Marion Center High School…..where it ALLLL BEGAN!
When shooting these, we wanted them to ‘feel authentic” and with the awesome staff at the high school gave us permission to go in and shoot so that we could. We roamed the halls while they told me stories! We even snuck into the library….we are such rebels! haha!

She saved all the notes he wrote her while they were dating……. <3

It was so much fun hanging out in the class room without any teachers…we didn’t even need a hall pass!! haha!

She brought so many authentic props like books with the good old paper back covers, a combination lock and flowers just like the kind he use to leave in her locker!

First comes love…..then comes marriage….. (does anyone else remember this??)

I love the one in the staircase…but I LOOOVE the silhouette shot in the hallway!

The stacks…..they made out in the stacks!! haha!! We.are.such.rebels!!

GREAT idea! Love these shots. (It shows how warped I am, that I couldn’t help thinking there was a teen slasher waiting just outside the frame. Guess I watched Prom Night and My Bloody Valentine too many times.)
Jeremy…THAT is soooooo weird! I litterally JUST had that same conversation with a friend of mine! ahahaha!

Jen, I think these photos are the cutest, most creative I have ever seen. Your ability to bring out the creativity in your clients it’s brilliant! Lucky couple to have you memorializing their engagement this way.. Love it.
