There certainly is a first time for everything….and I know you are probably on your way to Tennessee as I type this…<sad face>
I encourage seniors to come up with some ideas that will make the shoot more “them” for instance, last week, I shot Katie in a field at their Grandmothers house because that property and the climbing trees meant a lot to her and helped tell the “story” of who she was. Danielle’s idea….well, it made me hungry!!
The moment I arrived at her house and was greeted by her golden retriever, I could tell, she was a confident “I know what I want in life” kinda young lady. Soon she began to talk about what she wanted to do with her life and she lit up–literally! She wants to be a chef!! As we drove to our first location, she talked about how she began her love for food and I knew …there is no stopping THIS girl….she’s going to do awesome things with her life. She is passionate about cooking just as I am passionate about photography. There is a fire inside this girl….and it was MY job to show it in her photos.
BIG -BIG- BIG, HUGE, Ginormous (is that a word?) Thank You to Miss Laurie who is not only a mentor to Danielle but is kinda a local household name and she so ever graciously opened her home and her gourmet kitchen for us to do the shoot. Danielle assists Miss Laurie with her cooking camps so this was the ultimate and perfect location for Danielle to shine! Not to mention, Miss Laurie has a pantry that will make anyone drool-just sayin!
Visit her on facebook…….”Miss Laurie’s Gourmet Kitchen was started by a marketing executive turned stay-at-home mom who took her passion for cooking and a family recipe and turned it into a business. Cooking classes, private dinner classes, cooking camps and birthday parties are also offered to adults as well as children ages 5 to 18.” You can find more information on Miss Laurie, types of services she provides AND the different products available *here*.
Also, thank you “brotha-man” for being my assistant. I hope your move to Tennessee goes smoothly and I wish you all the best in your new home………….and Danielle, remember little old me when you make it big!! 🙂
Here’s just a few for now, I’ll post a few others from location #2 later this week 🙂

Danielle is a beautiful girl with so much to offer. I’m cheering for you, Danielle…or more accurately, praying that you live the full will of God. God bless you and your family as you come together in Tennessee.
Great job, Jenn, on the photography, once again. You’re terrific!
