These past few days have been sooo busy–the good kind of busy though. I’ve had several shoots over the course of the past week, attended tons of meetings and just today, I accompanied SADD students from Blairsville & Indiana to a SADD Conference at Seven Springs. (Students Against Destructive Decisions). Some of you may know that my sister was killed in a car accident due to TONS of bad decisions about 7 years ago so watching students stand up for something they believe in…well, it’s kind of amazing.

 We took around 21 students to the conference and when lunch time rolled around there wasn’t enough room at the table so us adults went to sit at another table. (who wants to sit with the adults anyways LOL) We found a table and sat down with two young gentle man from Punxsutawney. Long story short…..one of them mentioned that I looked familiar so while trying to figure out if perhaps we knew each other he asks, “What do you do for a living?” I said, “I’m a photographer” and he didn’t skip a beat and yelled, “You’re Jen McKen”. Totally made my day! LOL  He told me he was on of my blog stalkers.

So Eddie, it was so very nice to meet you in person today and thanks for making my day. For a slight moment I sorta felt famous! HAHAHAH! PS: I checked out your photos and GO YOU! I didn’t get into photography until about my sophomore year of college so it’s awesome that you are doing such a fantastic job at the high school level. Annnnnd, he’s president of SADD. 🙂

On a totally different note………….yesterday, out of no where the oak trees that surrounds my house decided to loose their leaves all on the same day …all at the same time. I came home from a shoot and there were 3 feet of bright yellow leaves in our front yard. Our house is around 100 years old and I’d estimate the trees to be around 70 years old so they aren’t dinky little trees-they left off ALOT of leaves.  So what did we do…..duhh, make a huge pile and had fun!! Impromptu leaf fight!!
