Yesterday, my widdle brotha, Jacob turned 7! S.E.V.E.N. Do you realize how old this makes me feel? I’ve mentioned it before my parents are divorced-remarried and have started new branches of the family. SOOOO, I have a “his, hers, theirs and our’s” family! My youngest brother is getting so big…..he’s my little redneck! He loves his camo pants, he loves his tool box and he loves his mud boots! Tee he he! He’s our little country boy!
I remember the day he was born. It was during a huge snow storm and my mom had already been to the hospital once earlier in the day. They sent her home because she “wasn’t ready”…..WELL, as soon as we got home, we were BACK in the car heading BACK to the hospital…a few hours later the little booger was born……THEN roughly 9 months later……..Mallory was born. Yes, folks you heard that right, my daughter and my brother are 9 months apart!
So yesterday we ventured over the rivers and thru the woods to my mom’s to celebrate my brother’s birthday! We ate cake, (I wore my ice cream) and we watched as he opened his presents! The big hit….yep, the dolla dolla bills..but he also loved his new hammer that would complete his tool box. It wasn’t a play hammer, it was a real hammer….you know, to help daddy in the garage!! 🙂 He immediately ran over and placed it gently into his tool box adjusting it until it was in the perfect spot, slowly closed it and then ran back over the to gifts! hahaha! He was so excited! Look at his smile!! 🙂
