The day after vacation is the worst! It’s like I have a travel hangover and all I want to do is sleep……………..but……………I’m BACKKKKKKK!!! After a long week of no blogging (which is just UNHEARD of) a week at the beach, a nine hour drive home, a 12 hour wedding and a good night’s rest….I’m ready to get back to blogging! Thank you to everyone who has been very patient while I’ve been returning phone calls, emails, etc since I’ve gotten back. It was certainly relaxing to get away with friends, but I’ll admit, I missed the old blog! So I thought I’d share a few of the photos I’ve taken while we were on vacation….after all, it’s what I do!
Our first day consisted of…travel! 5 vehicles and 9 plus hours in the car, we left around 2am. The day before we had packed up the car (which is a story all in its self) and off we went to meet up with everyone for the drive down. We were traveling with kiddo’s so of course we had to stop several times but with Greg and I taking turns driving thru the early morning we managed to get there all in one piece, with no accidents and on time to boot! We were actually so on time we had to wait for the keys to the house we were renting for the week so we checked out the beach and the kids had a field day. One thing I noticed about the Outter Banks versus any other beach we’ve traveled to out of the country is that this one was very “un-commercialized”. There were no venders trying to sell you necklaces or sunglasses, no board walk to play games, no one raking up the sea shells…it was just O-Natural….and I LOOOOVED it!
We stayed in the Southern Shores and the house we had was soooo cozy and “beach cottage” it went perfect with the natural beaches……and with a house full of adults and 5 kids…..there was NEVER a dull moment! After we got the keys, we immediately began to unpack, stock the fridge with cold beverages and the good times were about to begin!
Yes folks, I realize my yard looks a hot mess…….landscaping will start next week…….cut me a break! hahaha! Ohh and you see that gray building hidding by the car? That’s my studio! I’ll share more of that later this month! *wink wink*

How cute and cozy is this?

We had two fridges…..one appropriately for the drink and one for the food………..not to mention the ever evolving snack cupboard!

Next up………crab hunting at night with a bunch of grown screaming men! hahaha!!

smilin’ ear to ear looking at these! we’ll be there in a few weeks!
