We shot these during the worst time of the day for pictures, the sun was blazing down but with a little cooperation and an extra helper we got the job done!! I met Melissa, her parents, Hubby and their newest edition Cloe back when I shot her newborn photos. So when Melissa called to ask me if I’d shoot her whole family….all 19 of them..of course I said yes. To date, this will be the largest family shoot I’ve done and I won’t lie, I was a bit nervous! You know, with large groups it can be difficult to get everyone NOT be blinking or looking away at the same time. Especially when there are younger kids. When the kids are looking at the camera the adults are usually looking at the kids to see if they are looking (are you confused yet)…..LOL But these guys WERKED it, especially the men, they were making sweet sweet love to the camera!! HAHAHA!!
The funniest thing was that I had gotten a phone call several weeks before the shoot with a panicked Melisa explaining that her parents had “transition lens glasses” that tinted when coming into contact with the sun. Well, it pays to have an Eye Dr. as a family friend, he came to the rescue and gave them “dummy lenses” to use in some of their photos. I’m calling them “dummy lenses” because SOMEONE-not mentioning any names, *cough cough* almost poked their eyes out trying to figure out if there was REALLY glass in them!! HAHAHA
I laughed during the whole shoot. WHAT a great family with a GREAT sense of humor that is right up my alley. This was the first family photo they had taken…and I hope I made your experience enjoyable! For me, this was the largest family photo I have taken to date. Thankfully it was with a family as fun as these guys! 😉
Enjoy the video and I hope you laugh as hard as I did….most of these are “out-takes” but put together they are hilarious!! TOLD YOU nothing was off limits…muahh ha ha ha!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED their sense of humor! I hope you have found memories of this day for many many years 😉
