My Photos are Blurry…HELP! | Beginners Photography Workshop | 1.23.11

By November 19, 2010 One Comment

So you bought yourself your first fancy camera. It looks just like the camera the Pros use…BUT you can’t get your photos to be anything other than blurry. Remember folks, it’s not the camera that takes the pictures –it’s the person manipulating the camera that creates the image.

So what’s my point? Don’t think a fancy, expensive camera is going to automatically make you take better photos. You have to understand WHY you adjust your settings a certain way-under WHAT circumstances to do so. Do you want to learn HOW to create images that aren’t blurry? Maybe your itty bitty is starting to crawl/walk and you can’t seem to get them to sit still for more than a few seconds, is your high school-er involved in sports and you want to take awesome shots of them running, jumping, tackling?….or maybe you’re just going out with your friends and the pictures look GREAT on the back of the camera but you get them home and they look blurry on the computer screen……..come out to my workshop. I’m not going to teach you how to save the world, I won’t give you the answers to global warming….but I will help you not to miss another special moment do to (Dunn Dunn Dunnnnnn) Camera Blur. And I promise, you’ll probably have a few laughs….mostly likely at my expense. 🙂

Please note: this is a class for beginners.

My workshop is one part of a series of workshops that will be offered FOR FREE through the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. I’m honored that Dmitriy Babichenko asked me to be apart of it. He really did all the back end work to bring his idea to light. He’s got a facebook fanpage-go give him some love.

Check out the other workshops being offered by some other awesome photographers.
