Ok, so I’ll admit it, I’m still a bit bitter about not being chosen to shoot the Royal Wedding nor was I invited! haha!

Yes I was one of “THOSE” people that may have woke up a bit earlier than normal to catch a glimpse of their wedding. Why? Ummmm, because I love photographing weddings so of course I wanted to watch! Besides, there’s something refreshing about seeing two people happily in love-let alone “a princess” and come’on…it’s history! (cue the cheesy Disney music} I wasn’t lucky enough to be in London, but I watched from the comfort of my own home as the day unfolded but I do know several photographer friends that were and I can’t WAIT to see the images they bring back!

So what were my thoughts? Beautiful, understated, elegant, poised, timeless, classic…..STUNNING!!  I LOOOOOVE that everything was so understated. Her hair wasn’t all thrown up in a really fancy updo, it was loose and casual. I love how she wasn’t plastered with jewlery or diamonds, simple earings and a tiara. Her dress was a timeless example of how you can be sexy without being too revealing. I have a feeling that I’ll be seeing alot more lacey sleeves on future wedding dresses. I also have a strange feeling that Pincess Kate will NOT be signing up to do a trash the dress session any time soon!!

I will also say, I don’t get the thing with the hats. I found some of the entertaining and it does kind of make me want to throw a party just so everyone can come wearing rediculous hats…………and maybe step into the “ham and cheese” station! tee he he

Sooooo even though I’m bitter about not shooting their wedding, I will wait patiently like the rest of the world to see their wedding photos….which I’m positive will be AMAZING!!

I’ve done Weddings for years. And I agree, cue the Disney music 🙂 As my husband was laughing, I set the DVR(yes Greg we are Direct Tv Customers) I still got up fashionably at 5:30 to watch how things were going. What a privlege it is to be invited to witness events like this, be it royal,or our customers personal love story. It’s so exciting to see people truly in love
making a commitment like this.Even though technically it’s work for us it’s sooo much more! It’s fun to see what they chose to include in the ceremony, surprised that her Maid of Honor wasn’t with her before the ceremony, and sympathetic to the poor soul who lost camera feed a few times through the ceremony. Yikes! Glad to be in the audience. As far as hats, did you notice the girl with the camera that ducked into the front seat of car to catch a shot of her and her father as they first got into the car. Even she had a feathery spray in her hair. How cool to be the one to share images like that with the world!Overall,Dan asked me if I had the option to get up that early to watch it again and the answer would be YES!ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!
