Sometimes you just have to get away….for a day or two with family WHICH just happens to be at my parents camp in the middle of no where. We don’t get to go often because of Greg and I’s busy weekend wedding schedule so on the weekends we do get to sneak away, it’s not glamorous by ANY means, but it’s with family and we are never short on laughs. Being at it was Easter weekend and we just happened to have a few days off in a row without any weddings, we decided to meet up with my parents at camp for a few days and we made it back just in time for the Easter Bunny to make a stop at our house. Yes it was rainy and yucky outside but it felt great to leave the pile of laundry, dirty dishes and whatever other cleaning I had neglected to do, to head off to the middle of the woods. (Ok people, my house isn’t REALLY that bad, but you get what I mean) So off we went into the wilderness to the land of plaid couches and the place we can be one with nature, where I can wear camo boots and sweat pants, where my hair can look a hot mess or calories don’t count as long as you’re sitting around the camp fire…. (hahaha) A.K.A….Mom + Jim’s Camp!
We dyed the dog (yes that’s right…dyed the dog with food coloring), played Family Feud, laughed at jokes (mostly at Greg’s expense), the guys went fishing, we made pancakes, had an egg hunt, colored eggs among a million other things ANDDDDD……took a few photos! Like I said, nothing glamorous just lots of family time! You know that saying, “You can pick your friends but you can’t pick your relatives”……..yes…yes….it’s VERY true! lol
PS: there may or may not be embarrassing photos of my mom in here! BAHAHA!!
