In the book of life, it’s been said (although cliche) that : everlasting friends go long periods of time without speaking and never question their friendship. These friends pick up like they just spoke yesterday, regardless of how long it has been or how far away they live. They believe in you- even when you won’t believe in yourself. They listen to what you don’t say, and they are there with the white out and new pens (pretty pens) to start a fresh page in this amazingly confusing book of life!
I sat in the chair at her bridal shower this past weekend and as I watched her open the gifts from her family and soon to be family-she was glowing. As each bridesmaid introduced themselves to the guests saying how they met and how long they’ve been in her life, I noticed she has someone there from every stage of her life representing pages within another chapter. She was surrounded by so much love I was honored to be there to share in the joy (and the tears) of the day-the beginning of the newest chapter. We’ve been thru so much over the past 16-17 years of our friendship, and although we went to different colleges, created lives in different towns, met new friends along the way, I couldn’t help but to think back to all those years ago when we were borrowing each others clothes, cheering at football games and crying over our boyfriends. It’s so crazy to think that now we are encouraging each other in our dream jobs, discussing how many children we’ll have and what we love about our future husbands! Joe is such a fantastic guy and I honestly couldn’t have hand picked anyone more perfect for her…..and you’re going to make the cutest babies…just sayin!!
So with the turn of each fresh page comes amazing opportunities. This little life you are creating is going to one amazing story! You’ve got amazingly supportive friends (old and new), a fantastic future husband, the most loving family AND you’re not only amazingly gorgeous……but you’re going to be one amazing business owner! 🙂
For the bridal shower, one of the bridesmaids Gina found the cutest little “wish tags” that her guests could write their well wishes and advice for the future bride. Nicole, I didn’t get the chance to write mine… so here it is:
I give you chapter 100(ish): The Bridal Shower + Bachelorette Party sneak peek 🙂 I can’ not WAIT for the wedding!
………….and then the celebrating began!!! 🙂
