The inside of this church was A-MAZING!! Don’t get me wrong, I love shooting the quaint little churches that the rural life has to offer-you know that cute little white chapel at the top of the hill overlooking the town below……BUT something about these huge, massive churches just makes me feel like I’m back in Italy. When Greg and I traveled to Italy all those years ago, we visited the Vatican, saw the ceilings of the Sistine ChapelSan Giovanni Laterano – Cathedral of RomeSt. Peter’s Basilica – San Pietro in Vaticano, and The Pantheon just to name a few. The architecture of those buildings was magnificent and I left each and every one in awe. I get that same feeling when entering St. Vincent Basilica, in Latrobe, PA with it’s Romanesque interior. Not to mention the ambient light inside was any photographers dream. Add a bride and a groom…..and well…..it’s magic! 🙂

Practically their entire family has been married in this church…..her grandmother and grandfather were married in the basement right before he left for the war in a private and intimate ceremony just between the two of them. We made sure we got a shot of Sarah and John in the same room before leaving the church, you’ll see those shots when I blog about the portraits. I wanted so badly to go onto the balcony for a few shots, but due to liability reason, photographers are no longer allowed. So feast your eyes on these……next up…..some portraits!!!

ohhh, did I mention? Her train was like 10 feet long!

PS: Sarah if you are reading this…..put DOWN your phone…you’re in St. Lucia!!!!

I went to high school with John and although I haven’t seen him in 20+ years, he still looks the same and his mannerisms are also the same. You’ve done a BEAUTIFUL job with their wedding! Just gorgeous memories for them! Congrats to John & Sarah and to you for capturing the memories!
