Her only rule was: they had to be green. This is what she told the bridesmaids when picking out their dresses. As long as they picked out a short dress and it was ANY shade of green she would be happy…and I have to tell you…I LOOOOVE the way they looked together! No ones was from the same designer, no ones was the same color green and all the ties matched each dress perfectly! And the guys…don’t they look DASHING!!! 🙂
While we were off getting the portraits, friends and family were able to meander around the property (or the village as I like to describe it) while Hors d’oeuvre were served over here, and live music was over there and cocktails and drinks where around this corner…it was simply the best environment to feel like you were taken back in time to the simpler days.
Big thanks to Matt-not the groom-but Matt, the guy who makes everything run so perfectly at The Oak Lodge and our own personal golf cart chauffeur for the day. He took us to all the best spots on the property. I told him I was a bit overwhelmed with all the beautiful places available that I felt like I could have spent all day there roaming around searching for photo-opts…but we packed all these portraits into about 1/2 hour of time….thank god for the golf cart that got us around quickly.
