Last night Greg and I came home pretty late from Matt + Amanda’s wedding…..but as we pulled up to check the mail-we found a little suprise! Greg pulled out a teal colored envelope that read “Lucky You”. It was late, we had just put in a good 10-12 hour day and we were just plain out exhausted….but this…well it was a nice little surprise. Who was it from you ask? Random Act of Kindness was the return name containing no address but had a postmark from Milwaukee, WI! We actually argued in the car beside the mail box who was going to get to open it! I caved and let him do the honor and inside we found a $5.00 gift card to STARBUCKS!!!!
So you’re thinking…big deal, it’s ONLY $5.00……..but that $5.00 Random Act of Kindness immediately made me forget about the my throbing feet and aching back. We sat there in the car LATE at night smiling that someone took a few moments out of their day to make someone else’s just a little brighter! It was such a small gesture but it made a huge impact! So much in fact that I am going out this week and purchasing 5 gift cards and mailing out some random act’s of kindness myself! As the card says……….”kindess is contagious!”.
Thank you-whoever you are! My faith in humanity is being restored more and more! 🙂 The best part…….the stamp. It says Love! 🙂
So what are you going to do to PAY IT FORWARD today?
The card reads: Someone has reached out to you with an anonymous act of kindness. Now it’s your chance to do the same. Do something kind and leave this card behind to keep the ripple going.

That is fabulous! One of the radio stations here has a random acts day every week; they encourage people to pay for the meal of the person behind them in the drive through line, and they have a downloadable “card” for the cashier to give the person. You’re right; it isn’t the quantity… it truly is the thought that counts. And the fact that it can turn someone’s day around is priceless.
seen ppl do this & leave something somewhere – for ppl to find — it’s an awesome thing to do!
Just a week or so ago, I was on my way to a Bridal Show with my 2nd shooter/Assistant/Best Friend. Getting our usual Dunkin Donuts, and we get up to the window at the drive through to pay our 7 dollars and change and the woman at the window says the car ahead of us paid and they handed us a card similar to that and we payed it forward to the car behind us right away! It totally made an AWESOME day! Totally had a warm and fuzzy feeling!!
That’s awesome! I’m going to do it!!!
Check out Nov issue of Oprah. The one with Rosie and Oprah both on the cover. On page 52 There’s an article about Patience Salgado fron Richmond, VA. I’m wondering if what you’re describing isn’t an extension of this story. So cool. It’s a win, win situation. Both the giver and reciever have fun and experience the joy! Paying it forward. Priceless 🙂
This is such a great idea. I think your work is fabulous and if i ever make it back to Indiana for any length of time i will be sure to look you up. (grew up there) 🙂 have a great week!
