I’m addicted to the iPhone app Instagram! There-I’ve said it!
I got asked a question earlier this week form someone on my “liker” page wanting me to recommend a good camera for them that was under $200. I couldn’t do it….wanna know why? Mostly because I use my iPhone camera for EVERYTHING, if I’m not lugging around my pro-camera. It’s small, it’s compact and I can INSTAGRAMMMMMM!!!

So for those of you who aren’t familiar with with it is, Instagram is basically a fun way to share your life with your friends through a series of pictures. I was explaining it to someone the other day as if it’s a visual status update. Friends can follow you and vice versa (just like facebook/twitter). It’s like a picture scrap book of the places you’ve been, cool things you stumbled across or anything else your little heart desires! 3 steps: snap a picture with your iPhone, choose a filter to transform the look and feel and then update your friends-it’s its own little community. You can even hook it up to Facebook and Twitter . If you are already an Instagram-er, follow me at “jenmcken”. If not…get on it and start sharing. It’s FREE!!
I will warn you, if you start to follow me (or if you are currently following me), I’m leaving for Ireland at the end of the month and I’ll probably be posting photos all.the.time. it may get annoying….you have been warned! 🙂
Here’s a (RANDOM) look into my life via Instagram! Yes…these were all with my cell phone camera.
Here’s where I keep my “stash”……where do you keep yours?! hahaha
I keep these two things in my wallet. A love note from Greg and a fortune cookie I got last year on my last day of WPPI.

We drove several hours to get Gracie from her breeder. This was the day we brought her home. 1 pound 12 ounces..and scared!

Rock, Paper Scissors for the last breadstick……I won!

I learned to pick my battles…..she has her own sense of style.

My best friend Nicole was married this past summer, I was *in* the wedding and documented the “behind the scenes” with my iPhone. 🙂

This was in the back of my yearbook, it was supposed to represent where I thought I’d be in 10 years….FAIL.

This was the first summer of self-employment, which meant I could go swimming anytime I wanted! I shot this thru the raft..yes with my iPhone.

When we are kidless (aka: my parents take Mallory for the weekend) we love to take trips the Casino. This was on of our better days. We didn’t walk out millionaires..but we walked out Happy! lol

Random self portrait….notice the fake nails. You will never.catch.me.in.those.again. HATED THEM!!!

Greg has a bright green mustang..but he also has a dump truck. On this day, he took me on a hot date to Lowes! LOL

It was one of “those days”………I found the milk jug in the pantry and the cereal in the fridge….9 hours later!

I hate when THAT happens! I had to do the “shuffle” to get back to the car! LOL

You eye balling me BOYYYYYYY??

My foyer. First thing I see when I come home, last thing I see before I leave!

Natalie (our neighbor) helping Mallory pull out her teeth….or in this instance..TRYING to! It was a no-go this round!

The neighbor girl Natalie (mentioned above) took this photo of Mallory and Gracie with her point and shoot camera to enter into the county fair. She won First Place! We were so proud of her!!

After the SUCCESSFUL attempts of pulling out both front teeth, here is the “itty bitty” letter the tooth fairly left under Mallory’s pillow.

I could go on and on……did I mention…I’m addicted?!! 🙂

thinking I need to get an iphone AND instagram just so I can see all your awesome pictures of ireland 😉 so excited for you! and jealous! I wanna go back!
I friggin downloaded instagram to my ipod — cause you talk & use it sooo much BUT 🙁 it (my ipod touch) has NO camera… grrrr.. haha — it took the whole download for me to remember that I don’t have a camera on it to use it — soooo totally bumming about it!!
