So I realize, I haven’t been blogging a whole lot lately! Trust me, it’s not for the lack of shoots, it’s because I’ve been so busy planning a few things on the backend and traveling to visit with family and friends! As a matter of fact, clear at the beginning of July, we were invited to Rehoboth with our Key West Bride and Groom, to celebrate her birthday with just happened to be on July 4th! How lucky is she…she gets fireworks every year for her birthday!!! <3 We spent the week at the cutest little bed and breakfast while celebrating her birthday. Our days consisted of early walks to the beach, beautiful temperatures, strolls down the boardwalk….and laughs…lots and lots of laughs!! It seriously was hands down the best group beach vacation EVERRRRR!

I thought I’d share a  few photos…ok I’m lying, I’m sharing a LOT of photos…both from my big girl camera and from handy dandy Instagram! If you follow me on Instagram  (jen mcken), I apologize for blowing up your news feed during this week! Sorry, not sorry! tee he he!

Get ready for some pure and utter randomness!

Coincidently, the owners name is also Sandy, and she has to be the nicest person I’ve ever met. I’m so grateful that she opens up her home to guests and that it’s sooooooo close to the beach!!! <3

My favorite sounds of the beach: the ocean waves, the seagulls and the grass swaying in the wind. <3

I swear, she was meant to live at the beach, she’s my little surfer girl…..we’re gonna have to do something about that! *wink wink*

Zoltar!!!! This was Jacob (my little brother’s) and Mallory’s first experience with Zoltar! I crack up when I look at the upper right hand picture at their faces! They weren’t sure what to think!

The kids found unclaimed tickets and after taking them to the desk to give them back, the guy said they could keep them! So they spit the tickets and tried to find a trinket! They felt like they hit the jackpot!

A few Instagram photos of the sand fort they built. I mean, you can’t go to the beach and NOT dig holes in the sand! haha!

The boardwalk and the famous Dolles!I’m told they sell some awesome saltwater taffy…..but I wouldn’t know because I was a good girl and never tried it! <3 <3 BAM!

One of the funniest things is walking around and checking out all the nooks and crannies of a new place. I fell in love with all the bright happy colors. It’s hard not to be in a good mood when your surrounded with beautiful colors!

….and the candy!!!  I almost wanted to eat a piece….but then I noticed the gummy teeth….and well, that solved that! hahahaa!

I’d venture to say that the kids favorite part of vacation was Funland!! It was the one thing they looked forward to after the sun went down! I just love this picture…..they laughed and laughed and laughed!

Now, I’ve watched some pretty awesome fireworks in my day…but nothing is cooler than watching them being set off on the beach with the ocean on one side and the boardwalk lit up on the other! Thousands of people flocked to the beaches the night of the 4th …I told Sandra, she sure knows how to throw a party! hahaha!!

The kids splashing around waiting for it to get dark for the fireworks! You can see the boats lining up on the horizon, to watch them as well!

Silly Instagram photos!

I love this picture of Mallory and Greg <3

As the smoke from the aftermath approached, everyone got out their lazor lights, it was like two shows in one! haha!

AND speaking of parties! We may or may not have sang karaoke! I’m not claiming that I’m good, but man did we have a great time!!!

Out doing more exploring on the board walk!

Yes, that is my child…the one with the florescent raccoon tail! I pick my battles people! haha! Actually it’s one of the prizes she picked out after winning a few games!

More little nooks and crannies around Rehoboth! It kind of reminds me of being in Europe!

And JUUUUUST as Greg says, “no one ever wins these games”, Sandra throws her first ring and wins! But not soon after she dropped her credit card right in the crack of the board walk. I told her she has some pretty good aim! hahahaahah!!! (a crew member was able to remove her card-thank god)

Random Instagram photos!

We had such a great time! I can definitely see why Sandra celebrates her birthday here every year!

Sparklers on the beach!!!!

This few pictures are slightly out of order, but when we first arrived at the beach, we took a stroll down to the ocean. I left my camera behind but I did have my  handy dandy iphone. These pictures are the pictures of Jacob (my little brother) seeing the ocean for the first time! <3

Sandra taught me the most important thing to do at the beach is to build a fort! hahaah! This pretty much how we spent most of the day! I could totally get use to this!
