Before the shoot, I knew I would have a hard time writing this post. Not because I don’t have anything good to day…but because I have TOO much good to say! This story….the entire thing, is just incredible. I seriously sit back and think, WOW, this is like a movie. If you’re not familiar with the Gonzo story, I urge you to head on over to my other blog post and read it (here). Not only is THAT part incredible, the story is so heartfelt and right out of a lifetime movie, but what happens next just warms my heart. The story literally went viral within a few days.

Let’s back peddle a little bit……

I know she didn’t want to be identified and nor does she know I’m even going to mention this, but there is an incredible women somewhere in Texas who has one of the biggest hearts of someone that …get this…I’ve never met! We have no common friends, she’s not originally from our area, and has zero connections to myself or the McMillan family…yet she reached out to me because she wanted to do something good….a pay-it-forward, if you will. Her name is Peggy and she emailed me out of the blue earlier this year. I believe her words were something along the lines of : “I’m at a place in my life where I can give back and I want to donate a photo session for someone who needs a brighter day”…….Peggy, meet the McMillan family…and the beloved dog who stole thousands of people’s hearts…Gonzo!

Gonzo and his family-Meet Jamie, Karen and  Colton <3  They told me so many awesome stories since Gonzo has joined their family earlier this year…..including how some of Corey’s friends have traveled into town and showed them some tricks that Gonzo knew….. something they would have never known. Seriously, the coolest story ever!

I love this shot!

He’s totally smiling! <3Another one of my favorites! I’m not sure she could have smiled any bigger! <3…..a few fun ones!
I think it’s safe to say that the images from the train tracks mean so much to them. Gonzo spent so much time traveling with Corey on tracks just like these! Karen, Jamie and Colton, thank you so much for meeting up to hang out with me. Peggy, thank you for having a heart of gold ….and Gonzo for giving us a few laughs! <3

I hope you treasure these images as much as I treasured my time with you! I can’t wait for you to see the rest! <3
