Originally, I wanted to post a blog with some of my favorite images throughout 2013….but as I sat down to go thru them, there was just no way that I could choose one over the other, they all hold a special place in my heart and although sure some of them may have “better lighting” or “catch lights” or “better composition” the truth is, the technical stuff doesn’t make one better than the other…these are people’s memories ……of clients who chose to work with *ME* and for that I am humbled! I have a blog full of beautiful images that represent some of the most important moments of people’s lives and they chose to share those memories with *ME*?? <3 Let me just say this…..the little girl from the trailer park sure has come a long way thanks to everyone who had faith in me <3
2013 has been SO AMAZING to me…both personal AND professionally. Not only have I had one of my best year’s yet business wise, but I managed to kiss goodbye to 70 pounds along the way. I spent my weekends with people in love and the week with clients who valued my work enough to schedule off work, who drove (and flew) great distances just to have me shoot their portraits. I’ve made so many friends along the way and have learned so much about myself….and as a result I have a blog FULL of gorgeous images, traveled to some amazing places..and next year is only going to be more amazing with a few things that I may or may not have up my sleeves! *wink wink*
But….it wouldn’t have been as successful without my partner in crime, my “build something on a drop of a dime man”, my second shooter, my right hand man…and the guy who puts up with all my shenanigans. He really does help things run like a well oiled machine and I’m not sure we’d be where we are without him….plus he makes me breakfast..s0 I think I’ll keep him! Love ya Greg! <3
So what are my goals for next year? Well it’s really very simple: to continue to surround myself with positive and uplifting people, to photograph people who aren’t afraid to laugh out loud ….and to reach my goal of losing the 100 total pounds! My motto is: “if it’s not broke don’t fix it” and surrounding myself with upbeat and positive people worked for me the past few years…and hell, they are so much fun to be around! 🙂
I know there are the “half-glass-full” kind of people and then there are the “half-glass-empty” kind of people……well, I like to think of myself as the “I’m just happy there is something *IN* the glass” kinda person 🙂 So my wish for you is that you all have something *IN* your glass in 2014 ….and that you kick butt on whatever you set out to do! 2014 Let’s do this! *jazz hands*
Cheers to a New Year……….and may you laugh often!! <3

You are amazing! Congratulations on how far you’ve come… & best wishes on your journey ahead!
