Ohhhhh Liz, I’m so excited to share these with you!! I feel like she’s my soul sister—she says “under gutchies”!!!  hahaha! I’m pretty sure she smiled the ENTIRE day and her energy is contagious! She’s free spirited, incredibly down to earth and happy…..and I had an absolutely incredible time photographing her big day!

Apparently Liz read a book when she was younger about the 1,000 paper cranes. I’m told that anyone with the patience and commitment to fold 1,000 paper cranes will be granted their most desired wish..it took her a year, but she folded ONE THOUSAND paper cranes and then hung them in the very spot he proposed.  So THAT’S exactly where we went for their first look…..on the back porch of the first house they bought together! These are REAL photos……they  may never appear in a magazine, they may never be published…but they are REAL….and they mean something! THAT’S why I photograph people’s weddings.  I want you to have meaningful photos……..<3 You won’t find any stylized shoots around here!

We spent most of our weekends this spring doing yard work to make the house look new again on the outside. Steve ripped out fencing, a garden, planted grass, took down this huge fountain… Basically took everything out so that we could to open the yard up. We also did a bunch of landscaping and hung twinkle lights on our back porch. So the night he proposed, we came home after swimming at his brothers house and it started raining. We made some margaritas and turned on the twinkle lights… It was perfect to sit there with the twinkle lights on, listening to the rain. All of a sudden we realized how many lighting bugs were out! It looked like the yard was sparkling. It got us talking about how it was the perfect summer night and how moments like that made ALL the hard work worth it. So all of a sudden Steve was like, I’ll be right back. He comes back a few minutes later and says, “I wasn’t planning on doing this tonight, but it seems I’ve been handed the perfect opportunity and I’m going to take it.” Then he got down on one knee. It was so the best moment.” – Lizone thousand paper cranes-cranyberry pa photographer one thousand paper cranes-cranyberry pa photographer one thousand paper cranes-cranyberry pa photographer one thousand paper cranes-cranyberry pa photographer one thousand paper cranes-cranyberry pa photographer He looked at her all day like this! <3 one thousand paper cranes-cranyberry pa photographer These portraits were taken in the very spot he proposed! These are among some of my favorite “first look” photos. I can imagine the stories they will tell their Grandchildren one day! <3
