Ohhh these two I tell ya! So laid back and go with the flow…..even in a torrential down-pour. Literally minutes after finishing up what images we needed at the church, the sky opened up and the rain POURED down. Any other bride would have been brought to tears, but Courtney grabbed the umbrella and said “let’s do this”. Not one complaint and the result are some of my favorite images. You see, something magical happens when it rains….the colors become more vibrant and the surfaces reflect the light….and let’s face it…it’s way more romantic! <3
We roamed around the yard at Frick Museum in Pittsburgh, PA and found a few really cute nooks and crannies! <3 
Tell us about the proposal:
“Mike told me that we were going out to celebrate his new job at Benjamin’s in Indiana. Which was where we went on our first date. I thought it was kind of strange because he works in Jeanette and we live in Pittsburgh and there’s a million restaurants in between. So I kind of figured something was up. Well when we got there he had to go and chat with the guy that worked there about our table. So we get to our private dining room and just sitting there making small talk and he got up to do something and I saw the box in his pocket hehe. So he got up and turned on some music and sang a song to me that he sang to me in Barbados after the scorpion fish sting, standing on one leg on crutches. So it was very thoughtful and creative and went to my friends and coordinated things that I would’ve never expected him to!!”- Courtney
If your relationship had a theme, what would it be?
“”Glamping”
Mike can “rough” it whereas I like the finer things in life. He thoroughly enjoys camping and I want to stay in a hotel. Mike will just eat whatever, whereas I would prefer to go out to eat or take time to plan and cook a really good meal!
But we always seem to compromise!!” – Courtney

“I (Courtney) said it first. We were in Barbados and Mike got stung by a scorpion fish and I was super terrified and pretty much convinced he was dying (a little exaggerated.) But I was just really nervous and worried and I felt that it was necessary to tell him!” – Courtney

Tell us a funny story about the two of you:
“So this kind of ties into the whole “Glamping” thing. Mike had this really terrible apartment that he kind of had to find at the last minute in Wilkinsburg (which my dad calls Will-Kill-Yinz-burg) in the attic of this old house. The girl on the second I swear deep-fried every single meal and his apartment never got below like 90 degrees in the summer, the bathroom had an accordion door and the water had one temperate: scolding hot. I would go and spend the weekends with him in this lavish apartment because we didn’t get to see each other much during the week. Well one Friday night, he decided to cook me a “nice” dinner. Well Michael decided that he could cook something super delicious with the ingredients that he had just lying around. Needless to say he went grocery like a total of three times in the year time span he lived there. So the meal consisted of Spaghetti with Sauce, broccoli and melted swiss cheese. And warm water because that’s the temperature it got and he didn’t have any ice trays. Although it may not seem super hilarious, we can always laugh about it and think back to those good ole’ days in Will-Kill-Yinz-burg!!”- Courtney
How are you planning to display your images?
“A gallery wall and hopefully a very meaningful image that we will be able to keep in our bedroom. We’ll use these images to explain to our children who our family is and so they can make fun of my floofy dress and see what their dad looked like when he had hair ;)”- Courtney
