These two……are so much fun! I love their sense of humor (it’s right up my alley) <—pun intended! We laughed the entire time….nevermind the fact that it was raining, foggy and everything in between on the day of their session and they didn’t complain one time! We roamed around downtown Indiana, PA and found cute little nooks and crannies for awesome photos of the two of them. For me it was refreshing…coming out of fall busy season where everyone wants the pretty leaves….doing something more urban was fun! I have so many funny outtakes from their session….tee he he!!

Can you tell us about the proposal?
“It was a Saturday in July. We were running around all afternoon at different birthday/graduation parties and just having a nice day. Towards the late afternoon at our neighbors house, Tyler told me that he had to go home and get his brother but he would be back later on. Of course I thought nothing of it and said “Oh okay great! Bring Mac (now, the Best Man) back with you!” So, I stayed at our neighbor’s party sitting outside watching the Pirates on TV while unbeknownst to me, Tyler was back at his house setting up his big proposal with his brother Mac! It was getting late and Tyler was not coming back to the party so my family and I left to go home. I called Tyler on the phone and told him that I was going to come down to his house so we could watch Southpaw (the movie we were both extras in…he told me he had “found it” on the internet lol) When I called him, he was being a little shifty and didn’t want me to come to his house, he told me to wait 10 minutes and he would come pick me up. I was a little confused because he literally lives one street down from me and I didn’t know what the big deal was if I came down myself. I was laughing to my Dad saying, “I don’t know why he wants to come pick me up, but WHATEVER!” hahaha! He pulls in the driveway and I said we should go to Sheetz to get some snacks for the movie. As we leave my house, he purposely avoids going past his own house and I was even more confused! I was getting irritated and told him he was “being shady!!!” It’s so laughable now hahaha!! We went to Sheetz, got some snacks and when we started to pull around to his house, I saw that he set up and entire outdoor theater with a canopy tent lit up with white lights and a lantern pathway leading to his big screen tv and two chairs sitting in front of it. I was so shocked! At that point I still had no idea what was going on because he told me since we were “movie stars” in Southpaw, he wanted to surprise me. Once we got settled with our snacks and blankets, the movie started…but it WASN’T SOUTHPAW!!! It started out like a normal 20th Century Fox movie accompanied by opening credits and the whole nine yards…but the music switched and the movie became a slideshow set to music and words about our 5 year relationship together!!! I STILL HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS HAPPENING HAHA! The whole time I kept asking, “oh my gosh did you make this?!?!” It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen and so incredibly special. Towards the end, I was thinking to myself, “…wait, is he going to propose to me??…no…no, i don’t think so…is he?!” And as the end drew near, the writing on the screen read, “There’s only one thing left to do…” and then the song “Marry Me” by Train started playing and I saw out of the corner of my eye Tyler fiddling with his pocket. He pulled out a small box and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!! I was shaking SO BADLY!!! It took me a few seconds to even speak!!! I said yes of course and hugged him just as I saw a flash of light from behind the tree in his yard…Mac had been hiding with his camera and captured our proposal! It was something you would see in a movie, I swear. One of the most amazing moments in my life and surely something I will never, ever forget. ” – Samantha
The theme of our relationship would be “The Odd Couple.” A movie about two people who see things in their own ways. One is tidy and particular while the other is unkempt and sloppy. While these details don’t explain US exactly, we share the same Yin and Yang relationship as the guys from the movie. It allows us both to explore things outside our comfort zones and experience new things. And even though in the end we may not end up liking the same things, we always have a great story to tell and amazing memories to cherish.

Three things you each could not live without (besides each other):
Tyler:
-Food
-Water
-Oxygen
Sam:
-Family
-Laughter
-Mac & Cheese Bites
“We think that we are unique because we are probably one of the more traditional couples, as contradictory as that may sound. We always say that we were born in the wrong era. We know a lot of people who are very career driven and/or more concentrated on themselves rather than settling down right away. To each their own, but it is refreshing to have found each other and share those common life values. “- Samantha
Tell us a funny story about the two of you:
“We have had TONS of randomly funny stories throughout our relationship but before we even dated and were just friends, we were trapped up at IUP during the snow storm of February 2010 and had the best 3 days ever. We did so many random things: partied with friends, stole and wore a jumpsuit, witnessed a man dressed in lingerie and cowboy hat shoveling snow and wore the shit out of those 3D movie glasses you get at the movie theater. All in all, it was something we still talk about to this day with our friends.”- Samantha
Love is never having to…..
-shut the bathroom door
-hold in farts
-brush your teeth before a morning kiss
-wipe your own ass when you’re old
Describe each other using 3 words:
Tyler describing Sam: Sweet, Sassy & Sexy
Sam describing Tyler: Outgoing, Handsome & Hilarious

What?!? Did you not think I was going to share a few outtakes! tee he he!
