Golden Hour Engagement Session in Marion Center, PA

Ohhh sweet golden hour…how I love thee! This summer the golden hour has been far and few between with all the rainy and cloudy days we’ve had. These images were shot on Jolyn’s childhood home property in Marion Center, PA. Tom, proposed there so it was a perfect location to create a few more memories during their engagement session. The property is gorgeous with a pond, weeping willow trees, beautiful landscaping…it is a photographers paradise and she wore the perfect floral dress.

Jolyn + Ben have been dating for 6 years after they met her sophomore year and his junior year of college at West Virginia University.

“I was at my friends bridal shower while Ben and my family were by our pool for the day. My sisters were home for Father’s Day so that Made it extra special. Ben had the ring for about a total of 3 hours before proposing. Ben had my best friend’s sister (Desi Cavalancia) design and make my ring and it was delivered to him that day. He is very impulsive and wanted to get it done and over it. I joked that I’m surprised he didn’t just text me a picture of the ring to pop the question because waiting 3 hours must have been hell for him. My parents said he paced all day drinking his bud lights. He also asked my parents permission that morning to which they said “of course!” And he replied “anddddd I’m going to do it today” so ben. Anyways, I got home and everyone was by the pool. Ben grabbed my hand and said “come here” and pulled me up on our diving board. I cocked back my hand ready to swing and jumped back because I thought he was going to push me in the pool. He got on one knee and I was in total shock. I really had no idea he was going to propose any time soon but I’m so happy he did.”- Jolyn
