I didn’t think it was calling for rain that day…when I arrived the sun was shining and the sky was blue….but we did end up with a few rain drops. The really cool thing was that when it rained-it rained at the perfect time. I literally couldn’t have planned it any better than what happened. It started to rain as they were doing their vowels, stopped just in time for portraits and then started back up again at dinner while everyone was seated in side. Then…stopped again when it was time to do the first dance outside under the twinkle lights. It made the concrete glow and reflect all the lights…it was perfect. It’s an old Hollywood trick really…have you ever noticed in the movies how the concrete is glistening and reflective? It’s because they spray water on it for special effects! Now ya know!
Caitlyn’s dress was probably one of the most unique dresses I had seen. You can’t tell from the image above but the lace part actually came off of the bottom layer and created two separate “looks”. She removed the lace during the reception for a whole new look. You’ll see what I mean in the images below.

I love this image of her flower girl applying her make up. So stinking cute!
Let’s talk about this bouquet. So incredibly gorgeous and so incredibly heavy! haha
Cool fact: Dad handmade the ring “box”.

Wet Willy!!!!!

His reaction to the gift from the Bride.

Here comes the Bride….and the tears! <3
I love that they decided on a tree planting ceremony.

I do….I do too!

Another cool thing about their wedding: they had a group of friends come up and sing an irish song towards the end of the ceremony. It was so beautiful to hear.
MWAH!

The traditional “ringing of the bell” from the little chapel at Oak Lodge. It’s one of my favorite parts.
And we’re off for some portraits around the property. The leaves were JUUUUST starting to change and I love that you can start to see the colors out over the ridge. The Laurel Highlands is such a gorgeous place to be married.

Obviously, I’m hilarious! haha
These guys were so fun. Seriously, wedding tip #1: surround yourself with fun people. Your bridal party sets the tone of the day. At least I think so!

I’m a sucker for photos and I thought it was so cool that they displayed images from over the course of their relationship.
So much prettiness!
I love me some twinkle lights!
Maid of Honor and Best Man speeches. Hilarious!

The first dance. You will notice that the lace overlay on her dress is gone and now she has a much more casual look.

Their dance started off slow and then BAM……it was a crowd favorite.

Dad shared his song with Mom…..and there wasn’t a dry eye in site.

Did I mention there were like 12 different beer available? And notice the butt grab in this image above! HAHAAH
Look closely at their faces. These are some of my favorite images! haha

I manage to sneak them away for a few moments for a few night shots before we left. In this image he is holding the guitar that they used as their guest book and you can see all the signatures from their loved ones…..with everyone dancing in the background! <3
Caitlyn and Paul, you guys were amazing to work with. The weather cooperated perfectly and we were able to dodge rain drops the entire day. Your dress was gorgeous and I love how you incorporated music into every little aspect of the wedding. <3 <3
I can’t wait for you to see the rest!!
