One of the questions I ask my families when deciding on a location to photograph their family is:
“Lately, at our cottage in Treasure Lake, a recently realized dream of ours that we’ve worked really hard for.” -Miranda
Well then-THAT’S EXACTLY WHERE we’ll shoot them then! And who knew that the backyard of the very cottage they worked really hard for would present us with so many photo opportunities! And I just LOVE the fact that 30 or 40 years from now when the yard looks different, the trees are grown, maybe the color of the home has changed and the girls are grown up with children of their own, they’ll have these images to point to and say THAT’S where our club house was! THAT’S where we used to play in the woods, THAT’S where XYZ. These images will be little time capsules that will not only show what they LOOKED like during this season of their life -but my hope is that they will also FEEL what it was like in that season of their life!

- Aubrey loves animals and is quite an artist.
- Ava is one of the smartest kids I know and can dance like Beyoncé.
- Josh is a Duke basketball fanatic and loves to golf.
- I love my jobs of being a mom and working for an ad agency…oh, and red wine.
