The week before their shoot, it rained every.single.day. with the infamous gray Pennsylvania skies….so this-these blue sky…it’s a unicorn!
Fun fact: these images were shot on their family property that has been passed down throughout the generations on her grandmother’s side. It has perfect views for miles and miles!
Pennsylvania, I may curse your unpredictable and crappy weather but your views never disappoint! And talking about views… ? ??
I can’t WAIT to see the trail cam photos from today’s shoot on Mallory’s family property. Boy is her Dad in for a show when he checks them…so many dance moves! I really hope there were batteries! hahaha!
…..and YES-They are equally as fun in person as they appear in these images!
My sister, Suzanne actually pressured us to meet. My bother in law Nate, played hockey with Jesse in undergrad at IUP. Nate and Suzanne were with Jesse at a party for IUPatty’s and insisted that I come join them (in my wild freshman days, geez oh man). Suzanne met Jesse at Arby’s which is behind the hockey house. Suzanne called me saying that she met a cute guy that played hockey with Nate and wanted me to meet him. I literally walked across town to meet Jesse for the first time in a grungy college house basement. Suzanne introduced me to Jesse and I was immediately in awe.

We love to go out to eat, and drink socially with friends. We also like to do mini weekend trips to visit friends. We hunt together in the fall, and kayak all summer long. Sometimes we fish together, and we often watch Netflix and be lazy together, especially this year with the pandemic. Jesse’s individual favorite hobbies are fishing, hunting, fly tying, and playing hockey.

We took a trip to Laurel Summit State Park where there was a hiking trail with a look out. I have been begging Jesse to go do things like this since the pandemic started, wanting to be outdoors more and get moving in a different way that would not make me hate exercise as much. When we got there, we started down the trail talking about things that have been occurring for us, catching each other up on our gossip for the week. Once at the look out spot, there is two paths, one to the look out and one to the trail that leads down into the valley. We could see clearly that there was a couple getting engaged at the look out spot. I told him, “Awe look they are engaged! *pointing to the bucket of champagne and set up they had going on*. Jesse literally was like no they’re not, trying to deny the obvious. I pointed out the set up they had going on to clearly identify it was happening. Jesse tried to quickly abort the area, saying to hike down the other path. I agreed, until we began hiking down the path as it went straight down to the valley I told him i wasn’t hiking that. We walked back up to the look out spot as the other couple began to show that they were beginning to clean up. We sat on one of the two boulders there, and began to enjoy the view. Jesse had a backpack (which I thought was stupid as he told me it was an easy trail to hike on) and pulled out his binoculars. He sat down and I was clueless of what we were to be looking at as the view was dead trees. He originally planned to go when the trees were pretty but I set those plans back unknowingly. We waited until the couple left and switched to the other coulder. I walked over looking down into the vlley with Jesse behind me. When I turned around after hearing him talk about how much he loved me etc., he was on one knee. I said yes through tears and celebrated in the two minutes we have to ourselves before someone else came to the lookout spot.
