I remember like it was yesterday-but it was probably 10 years ago. She came marching up to me at a wedding, where she was a guest, and said, “if I ever get married, you’re shooting my wedding!” We both giggled but she told me again just to be sure I knew how serious she was. Fast forward all these years….and here I am shooting her wedding and I couldn’t be more honored to not only be photographing her big day but that she had me travel the whole way to Delaware to do it! I mean, this girl KNOWS what she wants!
Enjoy the total overload and ridiculous amount of photos below….If you were there, I hope it helps you relive and if you weren’t able to attend-I hope you felt like you were there! <3

On the beach in Lewes, Delaware. My aunts went for a walk and recognized Khallid as the recently graduated, star basketball player where I worked (Marist College). Aunt Kate invited him for a beer, and I was NOT happy – I was a few beers deep and in a bikini (insert humiliation, ha! ). We hadn’t really spoke to each other before, other than maybe a hello in the hallway, but Khallid’s sweet, and funny personality quickly won me over.
Khallid planned a “birthday party” for me the weekend before my birthday. His best friend from New York came down the night before, which was slightly unusual and I had an inkling something was up (plus something from the jewelers had arrived in the mail to him a week prior, haha!). I had to go house hunting for my cousin in South Jersey, and when his best friends girlfriend pressed me to go to the mall, clearly stalling, I definitely knew it was about to happen! I could see my friends showing up on the ring camera and we weren’t even home yet (remember how Khallid called me the triple A – I really can’t help myself!).
In our backyard was a beautiful set up of candles, rose petals and lights – surround by some of our best friends, he got on one knee!
