The weather forecast was calling for a COMPLETE rain out. As a matter of fact, the day before (Friday) it 100% rained ALL day-you know, that steady, heavy rain that saturates the ground and makes everything soaking wet and the same was being forecasted for Saturday. Tori purchased a bunch of clear umbrellas for the wedding party and we were fully prepared to get creative and just work with the rain. This ain’t my first rodeo! haha! But by some miraculous event, we ended up with a really cool sky, a few rain drops…and some moody amazing images. AND remember that saturated ground I mentioned earlier…. poor Nate, one of the Chestnut staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND that day chasing after an umbrella and ended up on the ground! I include those fun shots below because…..they.are.hysterical and he has such a great sense of humor we laughed about it for the rest of the night! (Love ya Nate! hahaha)
I’ve photographed events for this family a few times in the past, and I just KNEWWWW that it was going to be a good time! If you weren’t at Tori and Stephen’s wedding, I hope you are able to feel like you were after looking thru the images on the blog (linked below)…and I hope you get a few giggles at Nate’s expense!! hhaha!
The Proposal:
Steve was hanging an ornament on our first tree together. He insisted that we get a “real tree” this year and I thought it was so sweet when I saw he got us a new ornament. Whenever I noticed, he said “read the back “and it said “Will you Marry Me?” with an engraved picture of us on the front. I of course said YES and was so shocked. I said “are you serious right now?”
