On Location Family Photo Sessions

I recently had 4 huge trees taken down right outside my house-they needed to come down but I had this strange love/hate relationship with them. On one hand they made my house feel “established”-if that makes any sense. I have a 100 year old house and those trees just made it feel like they it’s been around awhile. Now…it just feels naked. I joked and said that this must be what it feels like for a man to cut off his beard! haha

It looks so different than what I remember from when the kids were growing up and it makes me think about how things change.  Besides the fact that it looks way different….I have so many memories of the kids climbing them and fall photos of the kids with the bright leaves during dances and school events,  just to name a few. Now…it’s just so different but so is life I guess.

I think that’s why I love that they chose to do their family photos at their home. Someday when the landscaping changes, the trees grow…or get cut down, they’ll have these to remember what it looked like at that season of their life. The sentimental part of me loves that!
