It was such a pleasure working with this family again! A year prior I had photographed Michaela’s brother’s wedding. So when she reached out telling me she was engaged and wanted me to document their day, it was the biggest compliment!
They planned the whole day in less than 3 months. Yes, you read that right…..three months! From the day I got the text from her that she wanted me to photograph her wedding, until the day that she walked down the aisle, it was roughly 3 months…and I have to say, they pulled it off without any issues! She got ready in a big camper on the property. They exchanged vowels on a Thursday afternoon overlooking the mountains at this little gem of a venue called Laurel Hideaway located in Donegal, PA. They had the most gorgeous day with some moody skies towards the end that made for gorgeous images!
BUT…I think my favorite thing about their wedding was her dress. She wore her Mom’s wedding dress. They went back to the very same person who created the dress for her Mom from scratch and had it altered to fit Michaela’s personality. It was sentimental and perfect for the time of the year and the venue! It was a hot day and the dress was light and flowy!
My hope is that you feel like you were there while flipping thru Michaela and Eric’s images…and that you can feel all the joy and smile as big as I did while editing them!
