From Tinder to Twinkle Lights: Alyssa & Trevor’s Hollidaysburg Engagement Session
Some love stories are slow burns. Others start in a dive bar in Altoona.
This one? A little bit of both , and all kinds of unforgettable.
Alyssa and Trevor first matched on Tinder, ghosted each other like two ships passing in the digital night, and then serendipitously ran into each other at one of Altoona’s shadiest bars (her words not mine! haha) . Alyssa was actually playing wingwoman at the time, scoping out the crowd to help her friend find a man , when she spotted Trevor and said, “He’s cute!” Her friend looked over and replied, “That’s more your type, not mine.” And just like that… the rest was history.
So, when it came time to document their engagement, we knew it had to feel just as real, personal, and unfiltered as their story. And what better place than Alyssa’s family’s private log cabin property in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, a place that’s practically dripping in natural light, tall trees, and sentimental value?
The Session: Forests, Fields & All the Feels
We shot their session right after a family shoot on the same property (yes, it was a twofer kind of day!)
From casual piggyback rides to quiet, tucked-away moments in the woods, Alyssa and Trevor were completely themselves. No stiff posing. No awkwardness. Just laughter, connection, and a whole lot of sarcasm and fun, basically my dream kind of shoot.
Looking Ahead to the Big Day (Same Place, More Love)
One of my favorite things about this session? We’ll be back on this same property in 2026 for their wedding. They’re planning to recreate one of their engagement photos and hang the side-by-side images on their wall one from the shoot, one from the big day.
