Family was truly at the heart of this wedding. From Abbey’s nieces and nephews running around in their flower girl and ring bearer roles, to Adler’s grandmother sharing a dance with him at the reception, the entire day was woven together with meaningful family connections.
Some couples dream of extravagant themes, but Abbey and Adler kept things simple, classic, and heartfelt. Their wedding at St. Mary of the Mount overlooking the Pittsburgh skyline was all about what mattered most: having all of their friends and family together in one place to celebrate.
The day started at the Wyndham Grand Downtown Pittsburgh, where Abbey got ready in the Presidential Suite surrounded by her bridesmaids while Adler suited up with his groomsmen down the hall. Their color palette of burgundy and rose gold brought warmth to the cool September air, creating an elegant but welcoming vibe.
With nine bridesmaids, nine groomsmen, two flower girls, and two ring bearers, the wedding party was a joyful crew to photograph! After the ceremony, portraits were kept easy and stress-free, focusing on the couple, their families, and of course, a few iconic Pittsburgh backdrops within walking distance of the hotel.
The reception was everything Abbey described in three words: fun, family-oriented, and chill. Guests enjoyed music, dancing, and special traditions like a dollar dance, bouquet dedication to the mother of the bride, and a Grandmother/Grandson dance to “Lady in Red”…she was 100! How many people get to say they danced with their 100 year old Grandmother at their wedding?! One of my other favorite moments? The packed dance floor once Premier Wedding DJ turned up the lights and the party energy skyrocketed-Forget the glass slippers! When the DJ drops Air Force Ones and the groom actually changes into Air Force 1s 👟🔥 The groomsmen hype squad did not disappoint!
