A Day They’ve Been Waiting Years For

Some weddings feel special the minute you walk through the door…and this was one of them.
Johniemarie + Evan have been dreaming about this day for a long time, and when it finally arrived… the excitement was palpable.

The vibe?
Black & white, elegant, timeless, and a dang PARTAYYYYY.
(Their words. Accurate words.)

How They Met

They like to joke that their love story started long before they ever knew it…thanks to Johniemarie’s grandfather. Years ago, he’d tease Evan’s family while buying beagles, saying, “I’ve got the perfect granddaughter for you.”
At twelve, it meant nothing… but years later, when their paths crossed again in college, everything clicked. Turns out Grandpa was right all along.

“I’m Marrying My Best Friend.”

When I asked what she was most looking forward to, the answer was instant:
“Finally marrying my best friend.”
Simple, honest, and exactly what this day felt like from beginning to end.

Getting Ready: Family House Edition

The bride and her crew got ready at her parents’ home-warm, nostalgic, full of excitement and last-minute laughter. Meanwhile, Evan got ready five minutes away, making this one of the most stress-free mornings EVER.

Bonus: they requested an extra hour of coverage so we could fully capture the dance-floor chaos later. Priorities? Correct.

The Ceremony: Prince of Peace Catholic Church

Surrounded by family, friends, and enough happy tears to fill a baptismal font, their ceremony was heartfelt, joyful, and beautifully traditional.

Walking her down the aisle?
Both mom and dad.
Cue emotional damage (in the best way).

Wedding Party: A Whole Squad

This crew came READY.
Bridesmaids in sleek black sequin dresses, groomsmen looking sharp, flower girls stealing the show…all 20+ of them.

Their energy?
Immaculate.
Iconic.
LOUD in the best possible way.

“Elegant, timeless, unforgettable, and a dang PARTAYYYYY.”

Party Bus Shenanigans

They insisted I hop on the bus with them and honestly? Zero regrets.
This group knows how to celebrate.
Music blasting, drinks clinking, laughter echoing… peak wedding day joy.

The Roost Reception: 325 Guests + One Giant Party

The Roost Event Center set the scene for a reception that felt warm, classy, and filled with love.

Some highlights:
• Black & white décor that felt like a Vogue spread
• A cookie table that could cause emotional overwhelm
• DJ Tommy Gunnz keeping the dance floor packed
• A secret surprise: the bride had two dresses, including a reception dress no one knew about but her mom & Evan (and me!!)

10/10 reveal.
11/10 reaction from the crowd.

A Sweet Ending (Literally)

Let’s talk about that cookie table.
If you know anything about Southwestern PA wedding traditions… you already know.

It was massive.
Breathtaking.
A work of art.
And according to my calculator, roughly 14,000 calories of pure joy.

(Also: buckeyes, strawberry cookies, and apricot-filled cookies = top tier.)
