I am soo soo soo excited to announce that the completion of my studio should be finished within the next several months. My goal is by my birthday which just happens to be on May 5th but it may be the end of May at the latest. For those of you who know me well, you will know that this studio is something I have been wanting ever since I decided I wanted to make photography my career. I think it’s safe to say that most photographers dream of having a studio space to call their own…..and it’s been a long time in the making but I will finally have my very own space. It’s not going to be Hollywood worthy, but it will be all mine bought and paid for………and it has lots of natural light which is exactly what I was going for.
So where will it be located? The studio is located in Blairsville, PA along route 119 on my property. The exciting thing is that for the most part (or at least when I’m editing) I can walk to work! WHAT WHAT?!!
To answer several questions from blog readers about whether I will continue to do on location shoots or not, the answer is YES! My love for shooting on location hasn’t changed one bit and I still plan to shoot primarily on location, but with my business growing I wanted a space to shoot boudoir portraits as well as newborn and pregnancy portraits that was a little more private. Also it will serve as my meeting space for clients as well as my workspace for editing and conducting my everyday business!
So I will be going from my home office pictured here…………..

As you can see there is still a few things that need finished-the hardwood flooring to name one but I’m SO SO SO excited to pick out all the fun stuff to decorate (paint + furniture) and make it scream jen mcken photography.
