Use the drop down menus below

I've tried my best to streamline everything below in order to navigate things more easily. If you don't find what you're looking for, reach out and we'll figure this out together!

None of us in the wedding industry could have known or prepared for something like COVID-19 or a world wide pandemic to take over our 2020 year, but…. here we are. If you’re here and navigating this page, you must be in the process of re-evaluating your big day and as information changes from week to week, I know you are feeling a little uneasy. Wedding couples and vendors in the wedding industry are all navigating this together, and I hope that the information on this page helps you in making the decision that is best for your wedding plans and for what you have envisioned on your big day.

I’ve been in this industry for almost 20 years and I care deeply about all of my clients and am here to help. Remember, there are lots of moving parts and so often we will have to figure things out as we go, but that’s a natural part of my job! Sending you lots of love and peace in this crazy time. My goal is to document this time of your lives, it’s become part of “your story” and oh man, it will be one of those crazy stories you’re going to tell the Grandchildren one day!

You can check out one of my more recent Brides who changed plans and planned a backyard wedding at the last minute! It was so sentimental and SO MUCH BETTER than the original plan!

MY MAIN ADVICE:

My main advice to you is this: Try your best not to panic, and make decisions over a few days time. If you don’t *have* to move your wedding date – don’t! Rearranging all of the pieces of your wedding day will take effort, and if you can keep the date you had then things may be a little easier.

I have lots of friends in the wedding industry. I can guarantee you that we all want to work with our couples to make postponement work, and give you the wedding of your dreams.

You might have to lower your guest list. We don’t know what the group gathering requirements will be in the future months, but think about coming up with a second guest list that is smaller. Talk with your venue and caterer if they can work with you on this.

Reach out to your main vendor team and see what dates they have open, and what they can do to help you. We are all here for you!!

WILL YOU BE AT MY WEDDING?:

I am cancelling nothing on my clients. I will be adjusting any events based on direction from my clients only. It’s very possible that all of this will be a non-issue by your wedding day, and you will want to keep up-to-date with that is required vs. what is recommended guidelines. Either way – I have no desire to cancel any of the original event dates on my calendar!

WHAT CONSTITUTES A GOVERNMENTALLY REQUIRED CANCELLATION?

  • Pennsylvania or Federal enforcement of no events on the day of the wedding.
  • Pennsylvania or Federal enforcement of stay-at-home or shelter-in-place orders on the day of the wedding.
  • Attendance limitations and how they effect elective vs. governmentally required cancellations will be determined based on Priority Month and an ad hoc basis.

GOVERNMENTALLY REQUIRED POSTPONEMENT/OPTIONS:

If the government imposes regulations on your wedding based on group-size or no-events-allowed, and you’d still like to have a wedding:

**Do a small wedding + portrait session:** I have worked out with other clients how much their current payments have equaled to in terms of time and package additions. If you have already paid for (hypothetically) 5 hours of time, then we can break that up to cover a small wedding ceremony + portraits or you are welcomed to put that towards products such as albums, canvases, etc. This is a wonderful option to still get married in 2021 and have amazing photos and products!

Move The Date: You have one year from your original date to chose an open option.

  • Choose from an open date between now + the end of March 2022 with no rebooking fee. I still have lots of Saturdays open during this time frame.
  • Choose an open non-Saturday date April-October 2022 with no rebooking fee.
  • Choose to “jump the line” from current priority month clients for an additional $1500 non-refundable to hold a new date on a Saturday during April -October 2022.

CURRENT REBOOKING PRIORITY IS FOR THE CURRENT MONTHS 2021 BRIDES:

If you are not THIS CURRENT MONTH’S 2021 bride, please read the section on ELECTIVE POSTPONEMENTS.

All dates will be moved with a simple signed contract addendum, and payment dates will be adjusted accordingly.

ELECTIVE POSTPONEMENT/OPTIONS:

If you are rescheduling without governmental requirements, then your wedding rescheduling falls under the “CHANGE OF DATE” clause in our contract.

You can:

ELECTIVE CANCELLATION:

If non-governmentally required, and non-priority month your cancellation falls into the “CANCELLATION POLICY” section of our contract.

  • Any monies paid so far are non-refundable
  • I am waiving the cancellation fee for all 2020 couples.
  • If you cancel within 120 days of the wedding date, all balances are due.

CURRENT REBOOKING PRIORITY IS FOR THE CURRENT MONTH'S BRIDES.

If your month is in the priority order for movement of dates, then there is no rebooking fee, and your event falls under the above section of Governmentally Requirement Postponements.

All clients can choose any date one year out from your original date based on the options listed above under “MOVE THE DATE”. After one year, you are subject to new package pricing.

All dates will be moved with a simple signed contract addendum, and payment dates will be adjusted accordingly.

PRIORITY MONTHS:

CURRENT PRIORITY MONTH IS *THIS CURRENT MONTH*.

What is this “Priority Month” you’re talking about?

Since this situation is fluid, it is only fair to approach rescheduling as the months go on and we know more information. The current “Priority Month” is the month that we currently foresee as having issues with the COVID-19 crisis. These brides are first in line to choose new dates, and will not incur any rebooking fees.

Beyond those months, it is unknown to all of us what will be (if any) restrictions. It’s very hopeful that months beyond the Priority Month may go ahead as planned! For this reason, if you are in a non-priority month and want to move your wedding date, then it must currently be approached as an elective postponement. There is a fee ($1,500 non-refundable fee) to reserve a Saturday 2022 date that would otherwise be open for 2022 brides -or- those brides who are more closely facing the coronavirus pandemic. However, there are no fees to choose Saturdays between November-March, 2022 and any Friday or Sunday date. This leaves you lots of options!

I hope you understand!

NEW DATE, BUT I'M NOT AVAILABLE:

I will have an associate photographer be there to capture your day. All editing will be completed by me, as well as pre-wedding communication, timeline planning, and album design.

With this pandemic, I have a very strong network of talented photographers all working together on this kind of situation.

There is a fee ($1,500 non-refundable fee) to reserve a Saturday 2022 date during April-October. However, there are no fees to choose Saturdays between November-March, 2022 and any Friday or Sunday date. This leaves you lots of options!

I hope you understand!

VENUE CANCELS ON THE COUPLE OR MAKES CHANGES:

Some venues may institute different changes throughout this process. Note that unless your wedding is governmentally required to be cancelled or postponed, I will still photograph your wedding on the contracted date – regardless of location or guest count.

It’s unfair that some venues may make decisions in advance of government requirements, and if this happens to you I will help you to find a new date / venue that works for everyone.

Some venues may also institute guest count changes, and although they may not live up to your initial ideal guest count, they are impositions by the venue – not our contract. Changes based on venue requirements and closures will fall under elective postponement/cancellation policy.

POSTPONEMENT PROCESS:

1. Choose a new date

2. Verify date with venues + other vendors

3. Sign a simple emailed contract addendum

4. Payment dates will be adjusted accordingly

HOLDING TENTATIVE DATES:

Yes, I am allowing my 2021 couples to place a hold on a new date. However, please note that there are lots of moving parts during this pandemic. Other couples are rescheduling, and 2022 couples are reserving dates.

If someone inquires about your hold date, I will contact you first to give you first right of refusal. If you are still unsure about changing of date, then the date will be open to the next in line and you can select a new hold date. There is no fee to hold a date.

CHANGING SEASONS:

You may have dreamed of a summer wedding, or a beautiful spring day. The thought of a ‘winter wedding’ may not seem appealing to you right now, especially at a time when it seems like disappointment abounds.

However, as a professional who has been in the business for almost 20 years, I can tell you this: the BEAUTY of your wedding day lies in the experience and the people, not the season. I have photographed so many gorgeous fall, winter, spring, summer weddings. The season simply dictates how long the sun will be out and if you may be sweating or chilly. That’s it. I want to truly, truly encourage you to not fear a change in season. If you choose to move your wedding to a different season, that is NOT a bad thing. It will still be beautiful – promise!

FRIDAY WEDDINGS:

You may be hesitant to consider a Friday or any other weekday wedding – will people be able to make it?

The answer: YES

The long answer: YES, and Friday weddings are AWESOME. They are year-after-year the most fun weddings that I photograph. I never feel like they are “more empty”, as people make plans to be there given advance notice. Consider this year’s pandemic, and there will be extra effort put forth by your guest list. In addition, since it’s the ‘start’ of the weekend, guests are usually more inclined to live it up, make additional plans together throughout the weekend, and enjoy their time visiting everyone.

You could have your Friday wedding, a Saturday get-together with guests, and then leave refreshed on Sunday for your honeymoon. It’s really a winning combination! Don’t leave out those Fridays!

CHANGE OF VENUE/CHANGE OF LOCATION:

If you decide to move to plan B and that includes a change of venue or a change in location from your originally planned wedding, additional travel fees may apply if the new location is significantly further and includes additional time getting to and from. Including but not limited to airfare/hotel/milage/meals/tolls/etc., for the main photographer AND the second shooter. These will be on a case by case basis.
