katie + ethan: the reception | johnstown, pa photography | weddings

It was important to Katie and Ethan that they spent as much time with their guests as they could since alot of them traveled quite a ways to be there. They opted to spend the cocktail hour mingling with their guests. I mention this because I think sometimes brides get caught up in what “they should do” or what a book/website/their friends and family tell them they should do…instead of doing what THEY want to do. The energy in the room was fantastic and there was laughter from every corner.

The first dance…ahh, it was something straight out of Pulp Fiction and it was FABULOUS! I’m not sure anyone knew about it ahead of time so of course there were cheers from the crowd as the two of them “got down”. All in all, I just LOVE how they made the day THEIR OWN. I can’t NOT mention the cookie table…ohh, myyy, the cookie table. 200 dozen cookies….yeahhhhhh, someone was busy!!

Katie & Ethan, thank you so very much for choosing me to spend the day with you……You. were. awesome. The end!
