The inside of Heinz Chapel on Pitt’s Campus is absolutely gorgeous….it’s just a bummer that you have a limited amount of time to shoot there…because I could literally spend all day in there. The lighting, the architecture, the colors…..it’s just amazing!

The First Date:
“Shawn and I were both working in Philadelphia, and were “set-up” by sisters- Kelli and Kathleen. Kelli has been a long-time friend and co-worker of Shawn, and Kathleen worked with Gina at Penn. I guess they were talking about us, and thought that we would be a good match. I sent Shawn a Facebook friend request- you know, the standard “I’ve never done this before..” I literally found out that I was moving back to Pittsburgh a few days after I introduced myself to Shawn. Our first date wasn’t until a month or so later, when Shawn was in town to visit family. Our first date was at Bistro 19. Shawn was late- as I would later learn that this is typical- and I was early (also typical). I was super nervous, so I grabbed a glass of wine at the bar. I started talking to several gentlemen, explained to them that I was technically about to have a blind date, and they thought it would be fun to give Shawn some grief. We thought it would be fun to pretend that they were my uncles! So when Shawn arrived, about 20 minutes later, I introduced myself and my four uncles. Shawn’s face was priceless! But, at least it took the edge off and we were totally relaxed. It was the best first date- and the last first date- ever!”- Gina
Gina:
1. I always order dessert.
2. I can lock my arms behind my back and bring them over my head. I believe I have done this at a bar once…
3. I failed my driver’s license test SEVERAL times.
Shawn:
1. He has one signature dance move. If we are lucky, he will develop another one prior to the wedding.
2. Has a hard time throwing anything away. Total pack rat.
3. When faced with ordering dessert, Shawn would prefer a beer. He would also consider a beer a meal in itself. He’s Irish!
These girls………are amazing!!!!! And obviously hilarious! If you only knew what they were laughing at…you’d be laughing too!! hahaha!
Guys will be guys…what can I say! 🙂
Can you believe that these were shot in the middle of winter?!! I mean the end of December and we ended up with a 50 degree day…..and SUN!!!!

And these last few shots were taken in the Cathedral of Learning also on Pitt’s campus. Since it was winter break, we didn’t have too many crowds to worry about….except for the occasional (unintentional) photo bomber! Tee he he!

Gina and Shawn, it was AMAZING getting to work with the two of you! Your families made me feel right at home..but those friends of yours…well they are crazy!! *wink wink*
