“Nick and I met my last year of high school. At the time I needed a date for a school dance, I did not want a serious boyfriend so asked a friend of my brothers if he knew anyone. He told me to call Nick, telling me he is up for anything and would go. I called him that evening and asked him to go. He accepted. We had a great time and continued to hang out as friends. After a few months we began dating and have been together since.”- Alisha

 

“Nick and I enjoy wineries and the ocean the most. We also enjoy being outside. Whether it be walking, hiking or dreaming of a boat, as we tube down the river. 

Our favorite thing to do is grab a few drinks at the local bar after a long week and spend quality time together.”- Alisha

“The proposal…
I messed it up 🙁 We went to Watkins Glen for a weekend. Have been wanting to go for years. Which is why I decided to buy a new camera. Was super excited to use it, until we got there and had nothing but issues. Toward the end of our hike I asked Nick to pose by one of the water falls(I love water falls). As he went up I was trying to focus the camera. After many attempts I waved my hand and said never mind. He misunderstood and thought I said no. At the time I did not realize he had the rung box open in his hand and was waiting for me to see it in the camera. I never did since the darn thing would not work(or as Nick says “user error”)… I did not know about it until we got back to our cabin and he heard me on the phone getting a hard time from a friend about him not proposing yet(they all knew he was going to). At that time he realized I did not see it. All I have from what would have been the perfect moment is him awkwardly standing with his hands in his pocket at the water fall.  He did propose while we were sitting around the fire later that evening. Still just as sweet. “- Alisha

 

“We both have a deep understanding of each others dreams and goals in life. We work as a team to be sure we each stay focused and don’t give up on our dreams. “- Alisha

“Nick secretly enjoys sipping on dirty martinis.. when the guys are not around. He also watches doctor Phil when I am not home or when he thinks I am not paying attention.

I can not bake a cookie to save my life.. Every time they go flat or taste like cardboard. Even straight out of the package. How does that happen? Nick always teases me.”- Alisha

“Nick jokes with me that I can not walk a straight line. When someone walks on my right side I will inevitably walk into them. When I run My running partner always runs on the left so I do not run into them. I have many, many time. Maybe one leg is shorter than the other.. ?”- Alisha

 

“ Most of our funny stories happen when Nick is sleepwalking. When we first moved into together he woke up in the middle of the night and proceeded to sort the garbage. He took everything from the large garbage can and put it into small shopping bags. When I woke up the next morning I was completely confused.  This is one of many stories.. and many more to come. Except the context has changed a bit. Sleep eating is the new thing. It took awhile to figure out where my sweets were going:)”- Alisha
