Holy Crap…it’s already the last day of October!! Not only did the time fly but this gal hasn’t even had anything pumpkin flavored yet! WHO AM I?! It’s been a busy month not only in the photography world but also in the “personal every day chaos” world with visiting the pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, halloween and trick or treating AND Miss Mallory’s Birthday. She’s the big 1-0 this month….my little girl is double digits! Bring on the gray hairs!!
The whole reason my photography blog started in the first place was because I was sharing things from my personal life so I thought I’d push it back old school and share what’s been happening over here behind the scenes at Jen McKen Photography Inc.!
And can you believe it…we went to the pumpkin patch and I didn’t take my big girl camera!!! These were all iphone shots….I wanted to enjoy the moment! <3
It was such a beautiful day!!
It’s tradition….we carve the pumpkins in the kitchen and Mallory gets complete creative control! Which sometimes can be messy…but “ehh” she’s only little once!

Pumpkin GUTS!!!

She’s a goof ball-what can I say!
And this was on the day of her birthday. We greeted her at the door as she got off the bus…and yes, I realize I need to rake my sidewalk-don’t judge me!
Because we haven’t had her actual birthday party just yet….October is busy ya’ll….we always have cake on the day of her actual birthday-even if it is just cupcakes.

Good lord is she growing up!

HAHA! She’s going to kill me, I didn’t tell her she still had icing on her face!!!
Funny story….she’s been asking for this damn password journal for the past few years. Last year Santa DID bring it for her, but Santa didn’t realize it was the spanish version. So you can imagine the laughs we had after she opened it up and we realized what Santa did! haha! So this year when we asked her one of the things she wanted for her birthday she says, “A password journal-but not the one from Mexico!” We died laughing. THAT will be a story we will never forget ….and that she will never let Santa live down!
Funny thing…she was so excited that she got one that spoke English and that she could understand, she set her password to “hola!” hahah! Oh but don’t worry, just because you know the password doesn’t mean you can into it, it’s voice activated…..pshh!
AND because it is Halloween and my little girl isn’t so “little anymore……here’sa trip down memory lane…. <3
Happy Halloween!!!! <3 See you in November!
